CAA Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Kevin Brown, Jr., R-Fr., RB, Rhode Island (Everett, Mass./Everett)
In his Rhode Island debut, Brown rushed for 141 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries as the Rams knocked off No. 6 Villanova, 40-37 in overtime. The redshirt freshman averaged 7.1 yards per carry and became just the ninth player in URI history to score four TD’s in a game.

Rhode Island was honored as the STATS Perform National Team of the Week after opening its season with a 40-37 overtime road victory at No. 6 Villanova. It was the highest-ranked opponent that the Rams have beaten since 2010. Rhode Island is the second straight CAA Football squad to be recognized as Delaware was the National Team of the Week on March 8.
