Extreme short term though. I don’t think Brady is good for more than another year. If the season gets screwed up because of Covid 19 they may not even get that.

They are going all in this season to hopefully be the first ever team to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium

Gronk unretiring to play with Brady says a little something about Belichick

I think it's all about Belichick, isn't it?

Tampa Bay is loaded.

All they really need now is a little more help on the O line.

We'll see how much Brady has left in the tank...as long as they play the season.

Big advantage with Gronk and Brady knowing each others' tendencies.

Only disadvantage is Brady likely won't have much time to practice with his new teammates, and get to know them.

Tampa may be loaded, but if they don't protect Brady, they will fail. On my earlier post, I think Belichick wears guys out. Gronk may have played this year anyway, but being able to play with Brady while playing for more of a "players coach" probably helped the decision along.

Gronk had all the leverage if he got reinstated he would put the Pats 10 million over the cap so instead we got a 4th rounder for a guy who was never going to play for us ???

Watch Tampa this year lots of weapons on offense I see a 10-6 team ??

If it weren't for Kraft, Belichick would probably have traded Brady a year ago and Jimmy G would have started for the Pats last season.

And Gronk would have retired a Lion...

Andrew Thomas #4 to the NY Giants???
He was in mock drafts #10, #14.......
Why pick him so high? Why not trade down to take Thomas?

1st trade. Tampa moves up 1 slot with SF trade.
Tampa takes OT Tristan Wirfs. Excellent move by Tampa.
Protection for Brady.

Probably will be another Erick Flowers.

A bust.

Agree...they could have traded down 10 spots and still got him.

Gettleman….seriously? Nitwit.

The first 7-8 picks went almost exactly as predicted....except for the Giants.

Tampa got the guy the Giants should have picked....Wirfs is a great run blocker.

Either him or Simmons...that guy is another Lawrence Taylor in the making.

Pats have little if any cap room available. I can see why they traded down.

Going to have to get very creative when it comes to contracts, at least for next season.

Going to be tough salary cap wise in 2020 but 2021 we will have lots of room

Thursday's first round was the most-watched NFL draft telecast ever, with more than 15.6 million people tuning in, the NFL announced Friday.

The record viewership -- which included numbers from ABC, ESPN, NFL Network, ESPN Deportes and digital channels -- broke the previous mark of 12.4 million viewers for the 2014 draft. The 15.6 million number also represents a 37% increase over the 2019 draft.

Giants have made a couple of good 2nd and 3rd round picks.

They still need an edge rusher though.

Patriots today
Round 4 has 1 pick
Round 5 - none
Round 6 has 1 pick
Round 7 has 4 picks

Could a URI Ram or 2 go to the Patriots today?

Coulter, Parker, Murphy and Dorsey are in the board today

Good points. I also think we'll find out how great of a coach Bruce Arians really is. When he had talent in Arizona he could win.

I think so too. Murray will be better and they have a lot of young talent, that, if can develop, will make for a strong team. Some experts are saying the Cards will be a wild card.

Their challenge is that their division is probably the best in football. San Fran and Seattle should be among the best in the league again, and heck, LA is only one year removed from a SB appearance. If you go back to the 2009-2010 season, only 3 times has a division able to get 3 teams into the playoffs:

2017-2018 NFC South
2014-2015 AFC North
2011-2012 AFC North

You are correct. The Rams are "rebuilding" as some say, but they will still be competitive. Gosh it would be hard to envision, but maybe all 3 wild cards come from this division? Wouldn't that be remarkable. Probably won't happen.
