On the youtube simulation of the tournament:

Pretty cool!

(Although we all should be celebrating in Brooklyn right now that we’re in the finals.)

We're also the highest seed remaining in this simulation. The first semi is (9) VCU vs (5) SBU, and we're playing for the right to face (7) Davidson who just beat (2) Richmond.

I'm actually getting into this.

The simulation even has Cox calling a timeout after we score up 17 with 3 minutes left!

Tugging at my heartstrings some more. My friend and I had said last weekend that he and I were going to be heading down to NYC for the finals tomorrow... hopefully we can have an end of season banquet this year.

Except for Dowtin's name being D, it was pretty accurate.

He's shown the rosters and teams ratings. Seems pretty fair unless there are other settings he could be changing.

A10 champs baby!!! Those guys did a great job!!!!

That was more fun and more realistic than I thought it would be. Glad I tuned in. Shit. Last sports game I played electronically was baseball on Atari.

As much as I was enjoying this in an absurdist comedic way during the game and on some level I am thankful that we got at least this, it also just really drives home how bad this whole situation sucks. I mean, sure I was not convinced heading into this tournament that we had much of a shot. But feeling the joy I felt watching us win a fake game with fake stakes that means nothing in the real world, it kind of forces you to realize what we are actually missing out on today (potentially) and that is bittersweet to the point of being depressing.

More importantly we covered the spread which should help with final NET and seeding. Q2 win could bump us to the 11 line.
