The opening line is URI / VCU Pick meaning even up . I expect this line to change later today to favor URI by 1-2 points . Even at that
I would stay away from this one . Have to admit I am surprised at the initial Pick 'em line.

Suprised it opened at a pick em game. Between the 2 teams i would expect a pick em on a neutral court. I would expect this line to move closer to the home court advantage of 3-4 pts.

Should be at least URI -3. We beat them at home. The ryan center is going to be a keaney blue monster.

One would have reasonably assumed URI would be a slight favorite given it is a home game and Rhody already beat them on their court weeks earlier. Even more so if you add in the fact that URI has won all but one game in the last eight meetings.

The line is already up to URI - 1 . I would expect the line to move up some more before game time.

As long as the gambling bibles say Rhody should be getting 3-4 points, gamblers are going to be hammering the home team with value so I’d expect it to keep moving.

Cox say Harris could play 20 minutes tonight.

That's about as many as he ever plays.

The metrics (KenPom and sagarin) would both have URI favored by 3-4 points. The reason the line started where it did and is where it is because VCU is a public team compared to URI. The types of college basketball fans who would gamble on and watch this game will almost always take points with VCU to beat Rhode Island.

They are living off a magical run in 2011. Havoc isn’t even a thing anymore yet the media touts it. Let’s go Rhody!!

I watched VCU play Richmond the other day and they looked MUCH better than the last time we played them. Richmond shot .500, went 21-25 at the free throw line, and still lost by 20. It was an above average game from VCU but a good win like that will carry some momentum. The freshman Hyland is gonna be a problem in this league. My money is on Rhody +1 but i have a bad feeling about it.

What circumstances led to you watching VCU/Richmond and not URI/Mason?

unfortunately i dont get the TV station URI was on and didnt pay to watch online. I was following the URI play-by-play while watching the other game
