I believe Akeem will be taking an Official Visit to URI this weekend. He is an AAU teammate of Norance Berry with B Maze Elite.

I guess he picked a top 10 a while back, but that has changed? I also saw he was hoping for an offer from the Vols. I don't know if he ever got that offer.

The Vols have a monster class coming in next year so we have the "more playing time" advantage.

I mean a boy can dream, so if we land both of these kids, wow another really good looking recruiting class for Cox, that would be just outstanding. So I hope we win tomorrow and we slip into the top 25 just in time to help get commitments.

This is Akeem’s first Official Visit. He has taken unofficial visits to Auburn, Vanderbilt, South Carolina & Seton Hall. It doesn’t seem like any of those four are still on his list. My guess is he will take 4-5 official visits so this is early in the process. Cox will still try to close at the end of the visit. You never know what an 18 year old will do. Always good to be first. Says a lot about his interest in RI.

Akeem and Berry are traveling to RI today. Probably staying in Newport tonight and starting their OV Friday morning.

These late signees always concern me. Hopefully their whole families are with them. Cox will be able to sell both these guys easily on playing time, and atmosphere. Awesome game to be a part of.

He is 220 lbs. strong for his age. A preseason with Chase and he will be able to handle the physicality of the A10.
