Davidson College is located in the hamlet of Davidson, in the county of Queenanneslace, North Carolina, 26 miles from any decent barbecue. It was founded in 1837 by David Son-David, an itinerant canteloupe farmer and the inventor of the melon ball scoop, popular among antebellum socialites and frat boys who spike it with grain alcohol. It has an enrollment of 1,387, and is known for the Steph Curry School of Celebrity Endorsements.
Bob McKillop (nicknamed Helmet Bob for his windproof hairstyle) has been coach of the team since 1937, when he inherited the position from his great-grandfather Seamus McKillop-Finklestein, also known as the Melancholy Mezuzah.
McKillop is the creator of the Caucasian Cul De Sac, a strategy that employs four players from Nordic and Scandinavian countries who pass the ball back and forth to each other for 7 minutes before the ball is stolen by the sole African American player who performs a 540-degree dunk.
The team is led by Olaf Olafsson, a 6-11 transfer from Uppsala Polyteknic, Sven Svenquist, a 6-9 transfer from Norrkoping Bible Institute, Drago Denisevich, a 6-10 transfer from Bratislava University of Collective Economics, and DeAndre Jones, a 5-11 guard from George Washington School in West Hempstead, New York.
