*Checks Calendar* It is that time of year again. Time for the annual URI vs PC rivalry game. No matter the records of these teams coming into this game, it is always a battle. PC is coming off a very disappointing trip to the west coast where they lost 2 of 3. They had losses to Long Beach St (who?) & The College of Charleston before righting the ship against Pepperdine. URI is coming off a tough loss that came down to the wire at WVU. Rhody should take care of business on their home court on Friday but with PC winning 8 of the last 9, anything can happen. This is by far my favorite game of the year. Get ready for a loud Ryan Center. See you there. Go Rhody!!

In fact, when Pipkins went to UMASS it was said that he did not plan to play his last year of eligibility at UMASS - according to the UMASS Message Board back when Pipkins announced leaving. UMASS Posters were not disappointed that Pipkins left.

Fatts was the Game High Scorer with 20 points in 24 minutes off the bench

Langevine played only 8 minutes in that game 2 years ago in the Ryan Center.
He was 0-4 FG, 0 points, 2 rebounds and picked up 3 quick fouls
Langevine and Dowtin are going to want this win very badly being their Senior year at home.

I guess maybe no issue until they start pushing single game tix, but I guess I’m just a little surprised it isn’t already a full sellout. The secondary market is showing pretty serious prices for decent seats (a few hundred bucks). Can’t imagine when all is said and done there will be any seats unfilled in the building, but not relying on walkup sales will limit the black shirts.

In my opinion Rhody dropped the ball by not including one of the weak Non-conf games in the 5-pack. They would have sold the same amt of packages as almost all prob buy it for the PC game. It would have a lot more people in the seats for one of the 4000 attendance games.

Whereas in the past they were available to season ticket holders before the season started. This year they did not let season ticket holders but extra PC Tickets as has been gone every two years but NOW they can because we didn’t sell them. Good customer service to your season ticket holders.
