We have already stayed too long with him. Perrantes should be the QB the ready if the season. We already know Priore’s capabilities.

They simply cannot compete. We saw that URI had superior talent to Merrimack and obviously based upon the score William and Mary has superior talent to URI. Also does anyone think next season is goi g to be much better or will the vast majority of the CAA have superior talent to URI???

W&M has been blah the last couple of years.
Rhody lost its confidence 2nd half of UD game (or maybe SB).
Coaches job was to get it back.

The team has quit playing for Fleming. Reminds me of another trip to Virginia, an 84-7 embarrassment against James Madison. That was the game that convinced me that Fleming was inept. Fleming and Thor should be fired. Dooley needs to fix this. Of course, we know that won't happen.

It's a statement that URI does NOT care about winning at football.

It costs too much, or whatever. Lame excuse after lame excuse.

Most sports programs at URI are doing well, and on the upswing.

Not football.

It's a lack of talent period.

But it is on Fleming to recruit good defensive players. And he hasn't.

He has to go.

How can anyone think it will get better next year?

Particularly in front 7.

A good front 7 can mask shortcomings in the secondary.....

As in the NFL, building a strong defense should be a priority over offense.

Fleming has ignored that in favor of offense, or so it seems.

Too small and no depth.

The defense is not up to a CAA level. There are some good players, but not enough.

Red-who's we?
The school and the state don't do anything.
It all comes down to revenue,fund raising,attendance of the boosters/fans of the particular sport.
Football gives $$ to the other sports including MBB.
MBB does not give football any $$.

With the exception of MBB,there is no financial support from boosters/fans of the other teams in terms of all three criteria (revenue,attendance and fundraising). As of right now.
Obadiah said once,the infrastructure needs for these sports is daunting.
Vs. almost no interest from potential donors.
