Dope. We may not be a national power in football, but damn I’d put our uniforms against anyone’s. The color scheme is awesome for football, the helmets are tremendous, and the last few versions of the jerseys and pants have been really good.

From a marketing standpoint the football program gets a lot of things right. From the anchor, to their social media content, countdown of the football renovations, uniform unveiling, etc. Kudos to that team.

agree, i hated when our basketball teams had no names on the jersey's (mostly in the Baron era and a year or 2 under Hurley), looks small time to me.
Unless you are the Yankees or Penn State, put the names on the jersey.

We only use names when we have our light blue jerseys on.
For whatever reason.

And even of you are the Yankmes or Penn St. ... slap some names on there...your players aren't that famous anymore.

The Red Sox don't have names on their home jerseys (which I like). The SF Giants as well.NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑4 years agoAnd even of you are the Yankmes or Penn St. ... slap some names on there...your players aren't that famous anymore.

It's fairly common practice, names on the home jerseys so the local fans can recognize their guys and just the (school) name on the front for the away games .

Well then, why do we only have names on the home Keaney jerseys?
We dont have them on the navy blue ones.

Re: New Football Jerseys
Honestly, feel the Red Sox home jerseys just look cleaner without the names. They have not had last names for as long as I've been watching. I see people with a home jersey with a name on the back, and it looks weird. I even played in a charity softball event at Fenway and we all got home jerseys with our last names on the back and while cool, it just looks wrong.NYGFan_Section208 wrote: ↑4 years agoJust curious...why do you like that? But that's besides the point and I was really only pointing out that the Yankees and Penn State aren't the only ones. For URI, I'd rather see names on the back.

Re: New Football Jerseys
With so many sports and so many teams to watch...I need names. My brain is already full...not much room left for memorizing player names. Could just be me tho...I
