I did not know that he/they were this good:

McDonnell has a 154-95 career record, including 98 CAA Football wins to rank third all-time in the conference. He guided the Wildcats to the FCS playoffs in 14 straight seasons from 2004-17, winning an outright CAA title in 2014 and four other divisional titles in the league. He's one of three two-time recipients of the STATS FCS Eddie Robinson Award, which honors the FCS coach of the year.

Ever heard of a guy named Chip Kelly? yeah he cut his teeth at UNH. They have had great success, and IMO if UNH can be an FCS powerhouse so can URI.

Hey, so someone correct me if I'm wrong but I am checking GoRhody Archives (it only goes back to 1999) and it looks like Rhody has not beaten UNH @ UNH in quite a while.
Overall, since 1999 I think I only counted 3-4 wins against UNH. Now UNH was on a totally different level for some of those years with national rankings and playoff appearances..but still that's pretty crazy. Hopefully that changes this Saturday.

Anyone have a guess as to what the spread will be?

UNH-good team,great program,good effort.
Other than the difficulty of playing at Durham,I don't see Rams losing.
If this game were played on Mt. Washington they have to win!

They’ve settled down a bit. Hoping for a good 2nd half. We get the ball to start so we come down and tie it we should be in good shape.

Parker is a stud and best player on the field every game

Our defensive line has been bullied now for 2 straight games. No pressure on QB and gashing runs right up the gut.

Our play calling continues to be a big weakness. Lacks imagination. More should be done to put ball in Dorseys hands.

I guess the only hope would be if somehow after we fore Fleming we wont lose out of all the talent we have been getting and get someone who knows what to do with it.

Fleming can't win the close ones....it's becoming a recurring theme.

They aren't a bad team, but they are what their record says they are.

4-8 final record imo….a big step back from last season.

Yes there is talent....but the coaching staff lacks talent.....I think Fleming's pay is close to CAA average, but his staff is paid peanuts.....and you get what you don't pay for.

I’d imagine we have a chance at 3-4 wins this year.

Brown, Merrimack, W&M, and Albany being the teams we can beat.

No shot we compete with Maine, Elon, and Virginia Tech.

Stony Brook next week is a toss up.

Good to very good recruiter. Mediocre coach.
We play way too conservative, as if coaching not to lose. Unimaginative play calling. We have 2 potential NFL players on offense and we are 0-3.

You said it. Conservative football NEVER works. You MUST be aggressive.

You have Parker, Coulter, and Dorsey so how could you not be????

Zoe Bryant is a really good back too.

We also have an NFL lineman in Kyle Murphy.

How did it take us the whole game to get our offense going?

Vito appears to be able to pass, so how in the hell are we not blowing people the hell out?

The FG on 4th & 2 on UNH 20 down 14-0 was a pathetic call.
Not sure about all the talent either. Their Defense is not good and seems undersized.
UNH lost 13-10 to Holy Cross. They only score 10 against Holy Cross and URI gives up 27 against a true Fr QB and a team without their Head Coach. A lot of hype around this team but not very good.

The defense has not been very good to start. Last season the defense gave us some opportunities. I would say our rush defense is a problem we need to fix, and the big plays have been an issue.

The offense is taking too long to find its groove. You have too much talent there. It has to be better.

There needs to be a change...is it his son?

Yeah the D isn't very good, but you still have to find a way to win the close ones...playing conservatively on offense with a poor defense won't work.
