I think that finalist list is wrong. The reporter either just read his Final 5 list to him and Josh said “yes” or the reporter just mentioned something like “are you still focused on your final five”. Josh might’ve meant the 5 OVs. He didn’t even visit Va Tech and he did an OV to PC last week.

The reporter then attached an article from right after his visit to Iowa that is over a month old.

I’d agree with Ramster that in EYBL and with many top tier AAU teams defense isn’t an afterthought. Mokan one of the top AAU programs prides itself on defense. Rivals touts that they only teach Man2Man and stress kids playing both sides of the ball. Now when you get to the next tier down of AAU and all the secondary tournaments that is moreso where you see track meets and street ball. Also there is a a lot of zone played at AAU level not sure who said it’s only Man, there is actually a lot of debate and grief given to AAU coaches (rightfully so) who play junk zone defenses just to win tournaments and don’t teach kids how to play man. But to say there is no defense played in AAU is wrong.

For what it's worth, Sean Block (Iowa insider who picked Iowa for Josh this evening), also picked Xavier Foster for Iowa the night before Foster announced. What I noticed about crystal ball is when 8-10 writers pick someone right before his announcement, something was leaked. Two guys who have waffled from undecided to Iowa in the same day is a little less convincing. Who knows what happens tomorrow morning, but still holding out hope we will have a Rhody announcement tomorrow.
