Yup. If the Bruins win the Cup that's gonna go down as an iconic moment in Boston sports history.

The fans were going crazy with that hit. Did you also see he commented about how he was glad he recently got a haircut? His teammates loved the hit. Agree it will be one for the memory books. 1st period did not go well and was amazing going from down 0-2 to winning 4-2

Bruins need to suck it up and play better.

It seems like missed or bad calls are everywhere nowadays. It happens and you have to deal with it.

If they don't shake it off in game 6 they are done.

However if they do win game 6 there is no way they will lose game 7.

Not really a hockey fan but am surprised they could lose this.

Hockey is such a blind spot for me as a sports fan, I didn’t even realize the Bruins were in the Finals last year and also saw this thread and thought it was about this year and was like “huh...hockey has already been back long enough that they’re doing the Finals?”

Agree with this I am more into NFL , NBA and MLB that hockey comes in a clear 4th of the Big 4

I think the NBA is the worst product nowwer days. Style of play is awful. My favorite leagues are MLB, NFL NHL NBA.

Worst product by far is MLB...god the game has changed so much, pitchers taking 3 mins to throw a pitch, its horrible.

But I agree with you on the NBA...College b-ball is 10x better

Disagree with you guys on NBA. The level of player in NBA is 10X better than college hoops. I love both. Agree on baseball just too slow.

NBA is the worst. Regular season games are boring but the worst of all is the NBA All Star Game.
I might watch the playoffs.
College Basketball is great but losing me on all the transfers. Making the College game worse
High School and AAU Basketball games are great.

The rule changes in baseball definitely help. It’s improving and that Sox game last night was awesome. I watched Celtics rockets and it was the James Harden show followed by a barrage of awful 3 point shooting by the Celtics. Hate that

The NBA’s market share, profitability and popularity are all on a rocket ship so congrats on the supercontrarian takes - that is the currency of the realm on this board. Baseball is, to my horror, moving in the other direction. The NFL is probably on the other side of its peak popularity but is still the king for now - although there are structural problems with both the league and the sport itself that could be long term issues.

Baseball can take their changes are shove them.
I try to watch the Sox, I watched large parts of last nights game, but I also have a family.
Asking me (or you), Mr. Consumer to have to sit for over 3 hours every night is absurd.
Push the game time back to 7:30 was even more dumb for home games.
I get why it makes sense with fans in the stands, but makes no sense from my perspective now.
With a 3+ hour product, start time should have been 6:30.
That would put you in the sweet spot of ending most nights between 9:30-9:45.
If the game goes to extras, you aren't asking me to stay up to midnight or later to consume a regular season baseball game.
Its a great part about hockey or the NBA, if a game starts at 7:10, it's over around 9:30 under normal circumstances.
If you want me to try to watch 3-4 times a week, that's the window.
Last nights Sox game started at 7:10, and running 3:44, ended at 10:54.
By the time the game was getting most exciting, I had a wife who had just put the baby down and wanted to watch one of our Netflix shows.
I can't even say "It's almost over, give me a few minutes," because it's freakin baseball, and as it turned out, it took almost an hour to play two more innings.
I can't commit to that night after night after night.
The average Sox game so far this year has been 3:15.
With a 7:30 home game start time, that means 10:45 every night. Wrong answer for me!
Instead it relegates to mostly background noise as I play with the baby before he's put to bed.
What good have these stupid ass rule changes done?
Until they can get close to 2:30 (never going to happen), MLB will keep fighting this uphill battle.

David Pastrnak is already a top 5 forward in the NHL right now at the age of 24, you've got a Bruins Mt. Rushmore type player in Patrice Bergeron, one of the best goalies in franchise goalies, if not the best, with Tuukka Rask, and a bunch of other pieces. It's going to be tough getting past Tampa Bay if it comes to that, but as a consensus top 5 team in the NHL they have a puncher's chance of winning the Cup. Unfortunately this might be the last run in this window with Rask and David Krejci in the last year of their deals and Bergeron starting to show signs of slowing down at 35

They do have a great team. The stage was set last year, winning the president's trophy.. but choked in the playoffs. It has to be a mental weakness. They were too good last year not to make a run in the playoffs.

Eh, they ran up against the Tampa Bay buzz saw missing their starting goalie after a months long layoff. Losing in 5 games was disappointing, but two of the four losses came in OT and again, that's without their starting goalie and two thirds of the top line needing surgeries
