I agree with you that next year is an important year, especially with the Freshmen becoming Sophomores and the 1st incoming Class of Freshmen/Transfers for Cox and Staff

But I don't see it only as giving the 1st year a bye of sorts calling it rebuilding, reloading or whatever words are used

The big problem I see is that the 1st year is not showing improvement from the beginning of the year. In fact, one could argue that we are not improving and some might argue we are getting worse

If we had gradually improved from November to December to January people might be thinking differently. My concern is what the remaining games demonstrate and the A10 Tournament.

I completely understand your POV. It’s fair, but freshman and transition at times can be both progressive and regressive in nature. We will have a roster of 10-11 PLAYERS next season. I truly don’t think coach is sitting on his hands. He will be able to be much more reactive with the lineup next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a plan to sneak a transfer or JUCO IN HERE NEXT season. Who knows.

I never thought it was possible going into this year, but we have a real shot at a bottom four finish in the conference, and a win Saturday is vital to our hopes of staying out of the basement. I didn't see what St. Joe's, Richmond, and George Washington have left, but we have to make hay against these bottom of the league teams with games against Davidson, at VCU and at Dayton still to go

Having a week between games is a killer.

The Preston stuff on top of arguably the worst showing in a Kingston game possibly ever.

If this team doesn't come out gang-busters in the first 5 minutes, the 2nd half may be played in front of the band and cheerleaders by themselves.

I've never seen an arena empty at the half like I did this weekend, and hopefully I never have to see it again.

The excitement for this game is off the charts. I just don’t see this getting that much better next year without better shooters. Don’t forget that the A-10 is beyond awful this year. If it had been a normal year in the A-10 we might be under 500. I hope they finish with some flashes from the freshman or there isn’t much to hang out hopes on next season

Two years ago (2017) was one of my least favorite losses to Fordham. It was a 53-43 defeat at the Ryan Center. URI, a preseason NCAA pick, started a mostly veteran experienced lineup of Matthews, Iverson, Martin, Dowtin, and Terrell. It was the 9th loss and absolute low point of that season very much diminishing the odds at that time to make the tournament. Thankfully, the team turned it around after that game and won the next nine games, including an A-10 championship, before falling in the 2nd round of the NCAA to Oregon.

Rhody shot 30% from the field, 10% from three, and just 47% from the stripe in that game.

Tyrese and Jeff haven't sucked. Tyrese is a frosh and will have his ups and downs. Jeff has struggled at times but I think a lot of that has to do with DC running fatts at the point at times which changes Jeff's game.

A favor- l am in new York and will miss the game. My 95 year old dad is critically ill. I found out this morning that hass and JT will be at the game. When they are introduced there is absolutely no excuse for an average ovation. Everyone should be on their feet applauding. They have given so many great memories for our university. If someone could film it and put it on the board I would truly appreciate it. I am taping the game but not sure if the announcement will be during a commercial. Thanks!

This makes me wonder if there were previous concerns/incidents or if they didn’t like how he handled things afterwards. The tweet was not smart, but this seems like a big reaction for a tweet (unless indefinite really just means one game).

I have no inside knowledge, but I will say that’s usually the case. Tweets like that don’t come out of the blue. My guess is there was a lot of griping in private before he decided to make it public.

I haven’t followed it that closely during the week...did they say he definitely wasn’t suspended earlier, or did they just say it was being handled internally? Because if it’s the former then safe bet something else happened; if it’s the latter then not clear that the two things are inconsistent.
