Richmond stinks. I don’t really get what the metrics/sharps are looking at here, but URI should win this game.

On kenpom, what a team does well is highlighted in green. What they do poorly is in red.

For Rhody, our green is our overall defense (ranked #43) and our red is three point shooting.

For Richmond, their green is turnover % on defense, and their red is offense rebounding %, near the bottom nationally.
Their overall defense is not very good, especially against 2 pointers.

This game screams for Dowtin to play the point even if Fatts is playing.

Jeff does not turn it over...except when he played against Bess of course, but then without Fatts he didn't have much help.

Bess was allowed to guard Dowtin under the old rules for some reason.

Then they had the nerve to call Dowtin for a charge with his off hand.

That game was very close. I hope Rhody wins here and can continue the growth!

They have 1 guy that can hurt us, Grant Golden. He could get Cyril and Jermaine in foul trouble, and that would hurt. He is not overly athletic, but is saavy around the rim and paint and a big body. Cunningham from Dayton made a fool of him in their last game, but he is more skilled than our guys at this point. Gilyard is also decent, an undersized PG similar to a Fatts type player. We will also have to contain him, I believe he leads the league in steals. Beyond that they have a bunch of Freshmen and role players. We cannot let them hang around, hoping for a double digit win here.

I think Grant Golden is massively overrated. Cyril and Andre ate him up last year, I see no reason why Cyril won't do that again

Seems like we're all in agreement (including the folks on the Richmond board). I don't know what the metrics gurus / oddsmakers are thinking on this one... I like Rhody by 10-ish.

Correct. I think there are a few upcoming away games on Stadium and NBCSN. Any away game that's non-streaming is the only reason why I still bother having a cable box.

In considering Martin and if he eventually becomes a starter this season, I think he, more than any of the other freshmen, would have really benefitted from a more veteran presence on the team. Last year, Fatts had such good mentors in EC off the court and Jared on in how to carry himself and be ready. There’s no questioning Martin’s talent- the staff felt they got such a steal when he committed, and I’m looking forward to seeing him put it all together. I’m still pushing for an all-rookie conference honor for him this season.

I signed up and told myself I'll cancel, after the free trial, just like I said I would do with CBSSN and NBCSN.
But, I will probably end up watching some other game on a slow night and just forget about canceling it, because ... $5 month

Disappointing that Martin isn’t starting. Kid scores 18 points out of team’s 53 and can’t crack the lineup.
Seems like Cox doesn’t want to ruffle the feathers of the upperclassmen.

I hear yeah. I signed up at the start of the season to watch Rhody but catch parts of many games on it now. Especially A10 games.

I’ve wanted Martin in the starting line up dince before the season started. I honestly don’t get it.
Not only has Martin performed well and continues to show his capabilities, but Thompson has underperformed both offensively and defensively.
