Does anyone know if ESPN+ will have replay/on demand? I might not be able to watch many games live (I have a one month old), and since I'd prefer to watch the full game it would be good to watch it when I can.

Pretty sure they have game replay on-demand for ESPN+

I'm gonna start my 7 day free trial next week right before the bryant game to see how it goes

in this age of varied media outlets, our lack of centralized and robust tv representation, I assume every game thread will have post of questions and answers on how to watch our games this year

Correct it doesn't list it, but they mentioned it in a press release that I already linked to, I believe in the coach's show thread.

Ha, that would be me, I suppose! My argument was always that I'd rather play Bryant as opposed to like, Eastern Middle Southern Connecticut State. Like the early season schedule usually has a couple fluff games, so you might as well have it be a fluff game with some local connection, and maaaybbeeee just a tiny bit of intensity or interest.

I don't know. EMSCS has a pretty good squad this year.

I agree with playing Bryant..if you're going to have a cup cake, it should be local. Bryant shouldn't replace a high mid major, but I'd rather play a local cupcake than some school we've never heard of. I'd also like to see Rhody on the road at BU or Northeastern. This is purely selfish since I live in the Boston area. Next year I get my wish (at Harvard - about 4 miles away).

They haven't played Bryant because O'Shea insisted it be a buy game. Since they weren't even leaving the state, URI thought that was crazy. Under the new coach, things have changed.

My guess is that this is still a buy game. I just don't see URI going to Smithfield. There is no long shared history as is the case with Brown. It was my thinking that O'Shea wanted a very big payday for a buy game if he couldn't get any home games. This was my understanding why there have been no games since they went D1. URI was never willing to pay what O'Shea wanted. Since there is a new coach in place and PC won't schedule the Bulldogs annually anymore (hurts SOS), the game at URI became possible.

No question Bryant will be a better team this season versus last, given they have returned most of their scoring power and have added two transfers who should see significant playing time - graduate transfer, Bryan Hawkins who played on the Murray State team that made the NCAA and junior college transfer 6-7 Juan Cardenas from Columbia. Look for first year coach Jared Grasso to employ an uptempo style with lots of three point shooting, an experience he had working as assistant under Tim Cluess at Iona.

I love being able to play an instate school. We have 4 Division I teams in this state and they all manage to be in different conferences - that's a mind blowing stat by itself. The fact that we play all 3 of them this year is very cool IMO. Bryant students will make the trip, and even if they're rooting against URI it'll create a good atmosphere. I'm on board.

Bryant has roughly ~3,500 undergrads. I've been to the campus a few times, not sure how many dorms/students live on campus but the campus has an incredibly "small" feel to it. it would be interesting to see if they have a good turnout on Tuesday.

LOL! True, and I've realized people from the northern part of the state don't like to go south of Cranston. Just as some SoCo folk don't go "north of the tower".

I think you have to expect a bit of a drop in attendance this season with the change in coaches and a large portion of the key players. Especially early on. Team performance will have a greater affect as the season goes on.

Exactly! I don’t care about people who don’t show up because I’m always there regardless. In actuality though, Bryant isn’t going to be exciting to watch although it’s a “RI team”. I am anticipating a score even higher than the exhibition against Pace.

The PC game being on the road hurts attendance in several ways. Obviously there is no sell out for the game at the RC. Secondly the PC game is tied to a 5 game package which boosts attendance for the other 4 games. That's not happening this year. I'd guess that sales for mini plans took a hit this season.
