We currently have the best RPI in the conference at 33. George Mason has an RPI of 158. Last year Fordham got in as an at large team with an RPI of 26. Looks like the worst RPI to get in as an at large was NC State at 45, so we're on the bubble

Correction. I don't know how often they update it, or less likely I was drunk this morning, but our RPI is 19

Last time URI was in the NCAA Tournament was in 2006 so we are long overdue. We beat Rutgers and lost an absolute heartbreaker at Lehigh by In OT by PKs.
This years team is talented and hungry for the NCAA Tourney!,,,,,,

We lost 2-0 last night at George Mason, so we finished tied for 3rd with George Mason in the final regular season standings. Because we lost the tie breaker, we host Fordham, ranked 62nd in the RPI, Sunday in the first round of the A10 tournament at 1. We lost to them earlier this season 4-2 when they hosted us as the #25 team in the country

Domenik Richter got a red card with 20 minutes left in the first half and the team had to play one player short for the remaining 65 minutes of the game. At that time the score was 0-0.

He may also have to miss the playoff game vs Rutgers.

I believe he also has to sit out the Fordham game.

URI defeats Fordham 2-0.
Now on to the Semifinals at Hermann Stadium in St Louis to play the winner of VCU and UMASS. VCU leads at the half 1-0.

Does this win now all but assure an NCAA bid with a current record of 13-4? Got to think they are close to an at large bid.

It appears that they might only update the RPI once a week, so we'll probably see it updated tomorrow or Tuesday. We were 19, lost on the road to 156 and beat 62 at home. We might need to beat VCU and get to the championship game to ice a spot. Their RPI was 50 going into this week

According to this website (see link below), URI is considered the Auto Bid coming out of the A-10. However if that doesn't happen, it appears the strength of URI's RPI (currently 23 after the Fordham win) will get them an at-large bid to this years Tourney. As this ranking currently puts them right in the middle of the pack of at-large teams as depicted in the right-hand column.

I haven't been able to watch, so maybe someone that has can chime in, but it seems like we've had the better of play by a slight margin. 3-1 shots on goal and 2-1 on corners

Slightly more run of play for Rhody but pretty even. No one has really had a great scoring chance.

The field is crap, in awful condition, and now it's snowing. How do they choose the venue? This field is literally shit which is a real bad look for a conference championship.

The A-10 placed three teams in the tournament last year - UMass (auto bid), Fordham, and VCU. URI was just outside the field.
