I'm going to the URI-UConn game on Sept. 15th...….maybe we can win that one, as UConn is very young with mostly freshmen starters....

Who knows with this team though.....they have to win games early to have any chance of having a decent season....if they don't do it this season....

It's pretty obvious that Fleming's job is on the line, what with no extension yet.....and who in their right mind would extend him at this point anyway?

Fleming seems optimistic coming out of camp this season, unlike last season where he wasn't so confident.

MDBH-at ranked Delaware. It will be a tough one. Not unlike a lot of games Rhody plays.
What makes you think they will not be competitive?

Albany,UConn,Harvard,SB,Elon,JMU and UNH all equally tough.
A 3 TD loss could parlay into 3 or 4 win season.

We might not win this game nor have a great season, but the personal foul call on #7 for URI on the Delaware punt might have been the worst call I've ever seen in any sporting event EVER. Watching the replay, #7 didnt even touch the punter. Not only did they call a penalty, but it was a personal foul which kept the Delaware drive alive. Unreal

Not calling TO at end of first half when it was clear they were going to kick a field goal was a bad call. Few other head scratching coaching calls. Beauvais didn’t see the ball. Playcalling still too conservative. But Fleming is a defensive coach and that defense made some big big plays tonight.

But the punter for URI was godawful.....8 punts for less than a 30 yard average.....that has to get better.

It's okay to get a little excited for rhody football guys! We're undefeated!

Our quarterback is good he makes plays. The defense looked better than I can remember seeing.
If we can beat Albany in our home opener we would have a lot of confidence heading into that uconn game... Couldn't get better than beating uconn in front of DAN HURLEY himself! Lol

The last time the football team had a good year, 2001, they won the first game as I would assume heavy underdogs at Delaware on the first Thursday night of the season. Ironically also August 30th.

Just reviewed the stats-run game was nice .
TE's made some plays for a change.
WR's did not do a lot,but Delaware has a wicked back 7 on defense.
Punter was not ready for prime time,except for last punt with good placement. Might be cause it fit his 25 yd. average.
DB's play the run big time. Too many stupid penalties. Punter is real hard worker,he has to improve or be replaced (soon).
Rhody won because they are better,more talented team. They have a lot of room for improvement.

Parker was forced to sit the first half due to being ejected in the second half of last year's final game. He's obviously the straw that stirs the drink for this offense. No offensive touchdowns in the first half, two in the second including one of his own. I'd love to see the yards per play difference between the first and second halves

This is all true. Delaware was ranked fourth in the country going into the game. When we pulled out the upset we entered the polls at 19. We will have top 25 votes this week and don't be surprised if we sneak in to the top 25

Great win! Taking down a top 25 team on the road is always a great accomplishment! Do you see what happens when you take care of the football? We won the turnover battle 3-1 and even that one turnover was the end of the first half hail Mary.

This is a situation where the schedule is huge. We get extra time to rest, reset, and fix the issues that popped up last night where Albany has to face Pitt on Saturday before they travel to face us. Keep the momentum going and this could be the start of a special year
