Was inspired by a previous post in the Omar thread... does it look right? I’ll try to keep it up to date.

This is great but it would be helpful to add position.

Seeing it laid out like this, you can see great perspective... like how we should be recruiting another natural point guard for next year.

Looking at the chart it feels like a grad transfer or a transfer that just played their sophomore year would be ideal to balance classes

Very Few seniors in the A10 for '18-'19

It was started by someone previously, I currently am the host of it but its open to editing and viewing to all

EDIT: I thought I had copied and recreated it when the original was lost but it looks like a SJU's fan hawkamaniac did it, but the original is from the A10 message board and was started in 2009

Most don't update their trackers until there is a signed NLOI.
A verbal is obviously non-binding. Recruits can change their mind before signing day.

Quick question: if a player redshirts for a year, does he could against the scholarship allotment for that given year?

It's nice that we finally have diversity in positions. Last year's problem was that we literally had 2 guards, 1 center, and a hodgepodge of positionless wings that made minutes complicated and I think clouded Cox's rotations.

Moving into next year we'll have 3 capable guards, with a bench option in wood.

We'll have 2 capable centers, with a bench option in Ousmane.

We'll have 2 true PFs (Harris, Walker), potentially Ousmane if you want to go big.

You finally have the perfect spot on the roster for Toppin at the 3, and what I would assume a place for DJ to see some minutes. Plus you Martin coming in as another great combo wing/guard option if eligible.

This is the most balanced team I've ever seen at URI.

Hurley's best teams could've used this kind of balance.

Well Ousmane is gone I guess. This is getting absurd.

Nice balance. Who do we think runs the point in ‘21 with Fatts and Sheppard graduating?

CamsRams, thanks for these. I'm pretty sure Martin has two years though, he's the same class as Harris, not Toppin.

Transfer!
Either a transfer or grad transfer makes sense, unless they can land a top 100 recruit that is a point guard which is doubtful. It should be a pretty desirable spot for any transfer. It should be priority number 1 for URI

We have 3 guards coming in as freshman, I'm sure Cox has a vision for one of them taking the point.

IF we don’t land a transfer or freshman for some reason, which of the 3 incoming freshman would you guys envision making the best point guard?

This needs to be updated every day.....

Still have 2 [Harris and Fatts] who could leave.

Have 6 [Johnson, Sheppard, MM, Walker, and the twins] who can't [as long as MM and the twins sign]

Of course am assuming the transfer rule passes and is immediate. Not including possible hardship waivers.

Then the 3 freshman recruits...2 signed, and one [Berry] about to.

If the transfer rule passes I like our team next year - maybe even more than last year due to more depth and balance but time will tell.

If it doesn’t pass, I still like the team to be top 6 A10. A lot of A10 teams have seen less transfers but transfers of their better players and I don’t think most teams have backup talent we do. . Fatts, JH and Antwan are good returning pieces. Shepherd is going to be good. Would need an Evan Cole type to cement the team though.
