Maddox is now rated #70. Hopefully Jeff and Coach Cox can recruit him.
After he sees Jeff make first team all A10 as a Jr under Coach Cox.

DC Ram and Bos8 can probably speak better to this. In the Capitol Hoops Summer League Darius was the leading scorer as a rising Jr in the quarterfinals (15 points, 7 Rebs & 4 Adt) and semifinals (18 points).

Seen him play a bunch. Kid is well rounded, and competes well in a tough conference. He would definitely fit well here.

One of the best prospects in the DMV. Will be major force this year and should rise nationally. He has complete game.

Broke his leg last year and missed all spring and summer, so he took redshirt year. Yes he will be very good player.

During EYBL this past weekend I actually thought he was the best player on team durant, even better timberlake. very athletic, gets to the basket with ease and can shoot, read somewhere he also shot close to 90% from the FT line this past season. I would expect him to go to one of the better ACC, Big East or SEC schools.

Seton Hall’s patience in Willard is being rewarded. The first five years look rough but the last four years have been a different story.

Yeah, not every coach gets that much leeway- 5 years with no tournament appearances in the Big East, when a lot of teams are getting in, but Willard and the AD are tight. I guess Lyons’ patience was rewarded.

Avg 16.7 pts Went 8/18 from 3 shot 44%. Highlight dunks too I think he will be just fine. Has 4 years left. Love his progress.

George Mason has landed the commitment of Virginia Tech transfer wing Darius Maddox.

The Bowie, MD native averaged 8.5ppg in 29.6 mpg, starting 19 of the 20 games he played in last season.

Prior to VT, Maddox was a 4

recruit out of Oak Hill Academy. He has 2 years remaining.

From VT Stats:

• Started in 19 of the 20 games he played
• Missed the final 14 games of the season
• Averaged 8.5 points per game – the highest season average of his career
• Dialed up a season-high 16 points vs. NC State on Jan. 7, going 4 for 6 from beyond the arc
• Scored double figures 10 times on the season, including five of Tech's first seven games
• Shot over 40% from three six times

I really like Tony Skinn, but he is still only a 1st time HC.
It may take a little time, although Keith Urgo did a good job at Fordham last season.
