Negativity talk

22-4

Stole a road game last night. Opponent played out of their minds, one player in particular with a historic A10 performance.

One A10 loss, legit multiple opportunities to tie or win at the end at perhaps the toughest road venue in the league.

I’ve been as critical as anyone here in the past. Help me understand all the negativity on the forums this week.

Truly, I’m not seeing it.....

Have at folks, discuss!

Just your typical week as the #18 team in the nation who just clinched at least a share of the A10 regular season.

I said it in another thread: There are a few fans who will find something to complain about no matter what.

We could win a national championship and I guarantee SOMEONE will post about how we lucked out or didn't get a hard enough draw or SOMETHING.

Adam pointed out that no one predicted a perfect conference record yet everyone was losing their shit because we weren't going to get one. It's wild for sure.

I'll take your route and love the ride - life is a lot nicer this way.

Ditto. I'm so confused at all the negativity...

- The "lil kevie" thing - that reeks of Trumpism right there and I can't stand it. It's petty, and Kevin isn't wildly anti-URI. Way too much conspiracy theory there.

- The second-guessing Coach Hurley's strategy at the end of games. I mean... he's winning and it's working. Let's cut him some slack?

- The non-stop PC hate even though they're in another conference - I'm going to get boo'd to hell but I actually ROOT for PC in every game except when they play URI. After living in Boston & DC after graduation, I love being proud of Brown, PC, and URI! It is so weird to me that people hate PC so much. Many of my friends went there. It's a rivalry, but it's not like Sox - Yankees. Providence is also our city. We also have a campus there for URI.

I'm just not understanding all the hate and townie-ism going on.

Let's prop this team up and be positive!

For the pro-pc people.......you don't have to work with their fans......If I lived 400 miles away it might be different.....

Kinda lookin for the negative among us to justify their position. Not really being a troll I sincerely don’t get it.

My 2nd fav D1 hoops team is and will always be whoever is playing PC.

Y’all just gonna have to deal with my negativity re PC hoops.

It's not wrong to express concerns about strategy or whatever....all opinions are welcome here.

Some don't want to hear it...but hear it they will if it continues.

Anyway....I've been positively positive for the most part this season....

This may be my favorite Ram team of all time.....

....even the last two games.....we can expect some let down after the streak we've been on....and even then we won at LaSalle....

...we will re-charge at home against Dayton.....then again at the A10 tournament....and then again in the NCAA's...

....no negativity here.....none.....

Team is home and will be playing at a packed Ryan Center on Friday. Going for outright regular season champs. The RC will be looney this Friday. And loud.

.....we are relatively new to this status.......we(some of us)are use to seeking the negative that previously lived under the boulders, and now these are just rocks......the program must be on the right track, but some of us can’t help ourselves......it is what we do.....Go Rhody.......

I would be shocked if we don't play well this Friday....some Dayton fans seem to think we're ripe for the taking.....

They are young, and don't play well at all on the road....especially with a packed house on our side....

That Kostas kid all 6'11" of him will be good in time....but he should get rattled big time.....and they have no depth.

This is my favorite URI team and I am enjoying every second of it. But I want this team to keep getting better. There’s a difference between negativity and talking about ways to improve.

URI2006, some here just don't seem to understand that.

Constructive criticism it's called.

The La Salle game was just a really frustrating game and after a loss it was natural to feel a little disheartened during it.

I think it's fine to be critical of things.
We aren't perfect.

But if it's constant complaining then they need to calm down and smell the Keaney roses.

It's completely sold out minus the student allotment

It’s been listed as a sell out for over a week and a half.

Very happy to see the Bonnies and Davidson won tonight as I did not want us backing in to the A 10 Title. Winning Friday allows us to win it ourselves in front of a sold out house. Now tell me--what is better than that!!!!!!!!!

Looks like they are selling general admission seats for section 301. Expecting low student turnout?

Where are you seeing this? Gorhody.com has it as a sellout with a link to reseller Vivid Seats. Vivid seats is listing 17 tickets for resale.

They already had the student ticket pickup this morning and I wonder if they didnt have the full allotment pic them up ahead of time. I dont get why they dont just let them in at the door anyways though...

I think the student tickets for today were for Ruckus members and the rest of the students get theirs tomorrow? I could be wrong.

Would much rather read people complaining about people complaining than read people complaining about the basketball team nearing the conclusion of their greatest regular season in program history.
