Remaining 5 Home Games

Hi everyone, wasn't sure where to put this, so created a new thread. Mods, feel free to move it to a more appropriate place.

According to Shane Donaldson (as tweeted by Bill Koch), the Duquesne game on Sat will be a sell out (first A10 home sellout this decade) with the other four games running short on tickets:

Looks like a decent amount left for Richmond and St. Joe's, but not for Davidson and Dayton. Get your tickets for senior night!!!!!

I would hope that St. Joes on SR night would be a sell out but that Richmond game will be a challenge. Mid week, late start (8:30), and day before valentines day. I think if we are ranked going into that game and Richmond continues to win league games then it should get 7K.

I wonder how they're handling student tickets for this Saturday's game. For the PC game, they gave out bracelets the day before the game so kids wouldn't be standing in line forever only to be turned away. I hope they do the same for games that they know will be sellouts.

I could think of no better Valentine's Day gift from my wife :)

Seriously, my wife teaches late during the week this semester, and so I'm on daddy duty. I will be unable to make the Richmond or SJU (Senior Night) games and will watch on TV.

Hopefully the senior night festivities will be recorded and someone will be kind enough to post.

How about the school recording the senior night festivities and then posting it on gorhody.com so it is available to everyone interested. Otherwise you have to be there to see the ceremony. With 5 players to honor the festivities will probably start 30 minutes before the 7:00 game time.

They are 1-0 vs rpi top 100.

One game.

How is that possible?

They are going to get run. I'd expect a line very similar to Fordham. People are looking at their record and taking too much from it...the league is bad.

This. It's disappointing but not a mystery, their SOS was 330/351. Scheduled a bunch of shitty cupcakes and then for the most part ate the shitty cupcakes...now they're filled with shit.

That metaphor falls apart a little towards the end but you know what I mean.

'21, what are they doing about student tickets for Saturday. Are they doing bracelets again, like PC?

Haven't heard a thing about it. Looks like a first come, first serve type of deal.

Makes life pretty easy in the marketing department :D

Marketing caught a lot of heat here when we were not getting such great attendance earlier this year - but you are right "Win and they will come"

Rhode Island Red has been saying that for years

Imagine if we had a statewide branding campaign going on simultaneous to this on court performance. Hearts and minds.

Is it a coincidence that the first sold out game comes the week we get in the Top 25? It was trending up but it seemed to accelerate with the ranking.

Well, that plus students. Very similar trending we saw a decade ago in 2008. But Hurley won't let his team collapse and blow the season.

I assumed the sellout is all the seats not designated for students...obviously the students help.

Bonnies would have definitely been a sellout with students on campus, possibly George Mason. The ranking probably helps but a Saturday game with students back and how well we've been doing is the main reason.

Are they doing anything to honor the 1998 team? The 1988 team? The 1978 team?

No, but they'll honor the last team coached by Claude English.
