If that is the reason he doesn’t come here we are a stupid program that doesn’t deserve such an offensive talent. I am growing more worried that he actually goes to Bryant, with Walker, Timberlake and Tre Mitchell they dominate the AE and are on their way to being the Gonzaga of the East we want to be.

Getting guys to play defense is probably coaching bugaboo #1, with #2 and #3 being "improving FTs" and "improving shooting" in some order. It's really easy to notice, but incredibly hard to be able to connect with the player and get them to change.

I get it if Grasso hire's Bergeron. We arent' willing to do that. If Grasso flat out beats our staff for one of the best available bigs in the country that's a major letdown.

just my two cents.. I would give RV a break on this one. Assuming he got his info from that camp (which I assume). They are good at playing the game and presenting things as facts to the point that many UMass fans believed quite a few things in year 2 that were far from accurate. I know he came out and claimed it as a factual and he wouldn't of been the first person burned. As an outsider if that new list is the right one don't hate on RV too much.

The response to that was very enthusiastic among people on this board. But if he's going to post recruiting news, then he's open to the same criticism and standards that other reporters would be subject to. People aren't going to treat him with kid gloves, if he's wrong about the Tre Mitchell recruitment, just because he's posted some nice interviews with Cuttino Mobley. It was similar "knives out" treatment for the guy covering UMass that "reported" the Kimani Young news.
