Heading into the first July evaluation period, Nate Hinton wasn't a household name. After his strong performance at the Adidas Gauntlet Finale, Hinton certainly became one among college coaches in need of a guard in the 2018 class. Hinton, who is pushing 6-foot-5, is a versatile combo guard that impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he played on the ball for Team Loaded NC and was aggressive off the bounce. He found ways to get into the paint, scored through contact at the rim and would make an occasional jump. Defensively, he was very impressive, as he plays with energy, toughness and slides his feet well laterally.

NATE HINTON HAS HIS BREAK OUT
Shooting guard
3 STARS
Gaston Day School Charlotte, NC
Ht: 6'4"
Wt: 180 lbs
Class: 2018
Commitment status: UNDECIDED
His name is Nate Hinton but I'm sure you've heard about him by now. While others burst out onto the scene as underclassmen, for others, it takes time for their proper recognition to be doled out. The time finally came for Hinton this weekend and the Team Loaded NC product passed the test.
One of the most competitive and hard-playing wings, Hinton received a handful of offers from some of the most recognizable programs nationally this weekend. Despite poor shooting efforts in the past, it seems as if Hinton has put it all together, taking his game to the next level. He was week one's top stock booster.
Recent video of two players that were, at least at one point, being recruited by Rhody.
Hinton #11, Nolley #2. Two big guards, one a playmaker, one a shooter.

Based on who else has offered and his national composite ranking on 247, this is one of the best guards were involved with. I don't judge on ranking but that many other high major staffs having extended an offer certainly says something.

True but he would of been a great get, most services moved to a top 100 prospect nationally.

Just for some perspective here, Antonio Reynolds Dean was the lead. Not uncommon to see schools drop off if an assistant coach leaves for another job.

That makes perfect sense now. Wasn't aware he was the lead.
