It has to start somewhere, it has to start sometime.

What better place than here? What better time than now?

Barring a complete meltdown by Bonnies in the second half, it's going to be them tomorrow. Even though (and perhaps because) Bonnies is a much better team than UMass, this is the result we wanted.

URI defeated Bona by a dozen points in Kingston at the end of January in a game that Rhody never trailed. Hassan was a force in that game, scoring 20 points to go along with 8 boards and 4 blocks in 26 minutes. It should be noted that while URI gave up 25 points to Bona's leading scorer Jaylen Adams, it did a fantastic job on his backcourt partner and fellow stud Matt Mobley, holding Mobley to 1 made FG in 40 minutes. Combined, URI held Adams and Mobley under their season average and doing so again tomorrow will be a key to the game.

Mobley and Adams both played the full 40 minutes in today's win over UMass, will be interesting to see how they respond 24 hours later.

That seems weird to be since Bona was playing from way in front basically the whole time. If you're them, you have to win 4 games in a row - why use so many minutes from your best guys in the easiest game you're going to have?

I disagree. It's kinda like when you upgrade in the girlfriend department and your ex downgrades, it's fine to see them out in public.

All I know is URI has squandered every opportunity to win a game with NCAA implications with that man in the building.

Not only our recent history but the last time the top four seeds all made it to the semifinals of the A10 tournament was in 2005. It always seems like there's a team who builds momentum off playing a game a day earlier than the teams with byes. Hopefully that's not the Bonnies this year.

I might get killed for saying this, but I think I'd rather have Adams and Mobley rather than our guards...

If he's there cheering for the Bonnies, that can only help us.

We at least have more guard depth....those 2 are by far the best overall on their team....and they don't have a KI or Hassan......

85, it's like a guy cheering for one ex over another........he danced with them and we fired him, so it certainly explains his preference.

Like with my ex's......I still talk to my first wife, but the last one no how no way......

Our players do not know who he is. It is irrelevant.
Focus on Bonaventure and the NCAA Bid
Defense, defense, defense - our competitive advantage

ramster, I think our D will be the constant.....the effort will certainly be there....they know what's at stake.

Just hope that Adams or Mobley or both don't go off on us like Gibbs did.

We SHOULD have enough on offense to win this game even if we struggle again from 3......just remember Davidson and score inside and often.

The Bonnies are not a very good defensive team.....move the ball and we'll be good.

If their guards played 40 minutes today, our defense would have to wear them down by the second half.

reef if we play well....we should win without getting the sweats in the last minute or two.

We have been under "win or else" pressure for the last 5 games....and won....which is something very new for us....so we've been tested.....some of these teams we've been watching the last couple days have NOT reacted well to pressure.

PRT, on the A10 board the Bonnie posters were livid that Mosley and Adams weren't taken out earlier.

We can't get caught up in a slowdown style tomorrow....that would help them avoid fatigue late.

We should never play in a slowdown mode anyways.
We have to be aggressive at all times.
We can blown them out if we stay aggressive and make threes at a decent rate.

We cannot play slowdown half court offense.......when EC or JG dribbles for 20 seconds and everyone stands and watches, we suck.

Short quick passes.....move move move.......long loopy passes no good.......I mean they know this but at times they revert to it......

The Bonnies' guards are quick......like Fordham's....be interesting to see if they pressure us at times.

We need a leader to emerge this weekend.....will Hassan be that guy? It might be trending his way......

Or will Jarvis step up? Terrell? EC?

Someone has to.

We need 2 guys who can get it done consistently......the other top A10 teams have two....a big and a guard....

Pollard and Smith for Dayton.....Aldrege and Gibbs for Davidson.....Lewis and Tillman for VCU......Jones and Cline for Richmond.

Our guards take turns....but rarely in back to back or more games.

Yeah but we have enough of them that one of them should be good. Especially now with Jarvis coming back to form.

Keeping the main guys out of foul trouble will be important. KI, Hass, JT, Maybe throw Robinson in there.

Keep them all able to play.

As others said, we have to stay out of foul trouble. I think something else we need is to stay with them early. We could be rusty and have some conference tournament jitters where they should be good at the start. Stay with them early and our legs and depth should carry us at the end.

Bonnies give up a ton of offensive rebounds. PLEASE stay out of foul trouble, KI.....

According to KenPom, both offenses are basically equal (109.7 for both schools) but the difference in defense is the deciding factor (95.7 for URI and 102.2 for Bona).
