I've seen enough

Show him the door

What a joke of a loss tonight

This is unacceptable

ECR, this reminded me of the 54-44 loss to Manhattan at Keaney soon before we fired Malone.....

An absolute pathetic effort just like tonight....but now we're on the hook for millions if we let this idiot go......

So we're stuck with him.....tragic.

No matter how much heat gets put on him.

I held out but a 10 point Fordham loss has officially put me over the edge. Sorry Dan.

I support him even with tough losses but I be kidding myself if I support him now

We quit...plain and simple.....my guess is....the guys have quit on the coach......they've had enough.

And we've had enough.

Hurley has 5 years at over 5 million left on his contact following this year, he's going nowhere. Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it.

That offset clause is nice, too bad nobody will be calling this offseason.

I'm not here for the fire dan part. I still hope he can do well.

But I am concerned some players have quit watching this. Aomething really didn't look right.

Really wish he took that Rutgers job now. Look at almost every situation with a "hot head" head coach...Eventually the players grow tired of the act and quit.

I played 3 years of mediocre high school ball and know that when an inferior team plays you in a zone...drive and dish, drive and dish. Attack the rim. So many times we'd receive the entry pass 5 feet with a back to the basket...Just turn around and shoot!!! If there was ever a game where this team could have leveraged the size and soft hands of Berry, it was tonight.

This team has no leadership from its upper classmen.

Are we still looking for Berry to be our savior??

Not a savior by any means, but a good coach can recognize situations and respond. Dan has not shown any ability whatsoever to counter punch.

Instead let's go with two point guards, including one that hasn't played in a few months, and try to generate offense that way? When it was clear that wasn't working, try something else.

What is Berry doing on the team if he never gets used? Where was Cyril tonight?

Um we didn't fire Brendan Malone. He quit to
become an assistant coach for the NY Knicks.
Wonder how long he'd have been here he didn't leave.

I asked if Rutgers had any regret that they couldnt land Dan Hurley in December and someone thought it was an outlandish thing to say.

I wish Rutgers would take DH off our hands. Its all stale. Team has some talent. New voice and new program could get these guys over a hump. The approach needs to change.

Rod, oops you're right........our problem is DH isn't going anywhere...unless he quits......which I don't see him walking away from his millions.

Hopefully there's another Tom Penders waiting out there for us......sometime.

DH isn't going anywhere with that contract

He is hurting himself as nobody will come calling for him

The good news for him is expectations will be lower next season so he may overachieve

reef the word has been out for a while that he's no world beater as a coach.....this only puts an exclamation mark on it......I expect us to fall flat on our faces the rest of this season......

And Thorr is "excited" about this team? If he's serious, he needs to go too.

Ill change it. Im off the ledge now. Just defeated.

This loss may actually work out in the long run as now DH knows that the only hope is to gear up for a run in the a10 tourney

The loss to Dayton obviously let all the air out and they came out flatter than a pancake

The thing is as bad as things are if they put things together in the a10 tourney they actually can win it

Saying we still have the A10 tourney is like getting your hopes up that maybbbbe one day, Kate Uptons car will break down in front of your house and you're the only guy who can help her out.

We might not even make the NIT....and we're not going to any other tourney.......after tonight every coach worth his salt will know how to play us if they don't already.....

Hey maybe Fordham can win it all...they have the same chance we do......

This was literally what he said the entire press conference on the radio or on-demand (which I immediately posted for everyone). They even tweeted a damn block quote.

Appears that DH has reached his max- like the Peter Principle- "You reach your own level of competence"- doesn't appear that he can be a mid-major, consistent success. Wagner was one thing. Thorr has stars in his eyes with the marquee name and flash of success at Wagner. Tired of the preseason pr each year (and I won't even mention football- although I just did). Maybe we trusted Dan to recruit players who would be consistently competent at this level. The 'kids' are what they are and could beat any one of us so let's ease up on the personal attacks- they suck, etc.

Speaking of firings, NC State fired Mark Gottfried, today.
He was hired in 2011-12.
Four NCAAs and two Sweet 16s. 122-88 record.
We would die to have someone do that for us.
Oh, his buyout is 2.28 million.
Somehow Dan's would be double this? Wow!

Word is the players have tuned him out. One name being thrown out there as a possible replacement is Archie Miller. Gottfried is staying on the rest of the season.

Going to two Sweet 16's is a feat.
Of course whoa is us. We are not worthy.

We're back to CFL type backers, who just knee jerk defended

Rod, some here will defend Dan until the day he's gone.

It's what they do. Thorr really thinks this group and coach will turn it around? I guess he has to say that....

If he does, he's as clueless as they are. And yes, I like Thorr too, but he could be on thin ice himself.

I mean, except for baseball, the entire dept. looks ready to crash and burn.

They've made 7 NCAAs , had a Big East and ACC POY, big east title, big east tournament title, S16, multiple NBA 1st rounders since we last danced. Let's not throw stones. They made a bad decision to fire Al and it cost them. That AD is now gone and they have committed $200 million to athletic facilities. Now they have another Rhody guy who can coach and two legit young guards. They'll dance (again) before URI, sadly.

Larry E is an idiot never liked him after the stunt he pulled at Iowa State

I am surprised Gottfried is staying on to finish the season usually that doesn't happen with fired coaches

I read an article saying no top coaches want that job as he makes 4 dances including 2 sweet 16 yet they can him after a bad season
