If anyone has concrete news about his time-table, please share.

In the meantime, let's hope he is well soon.

For once I really don't know anything about what's going on, but I would have to say it sounds like mono. Weight loss, fatigue, etc. Even if it's not the case - any type of illness that's related to autoimmune deficiencies/weight loss/fatigue - they don't ever get a sound time table because it's extremely subjective person to person.

I have no doubt he's got great care around the clock and they'll be able to get him back in an accelerated manner, but to get back all that weight will take time. I don't think we'll see him until February if I had to guess.

Mono was my initial guess as well when the news first came out. I also have no idea though, just a total guess.

Well according to Dan, it's not very long term and certainly not life threatening.

But yes, it's going to take a while before he's close to 100%.

I had mono when I was at URI. I lost 40 lbs. No contact sports for 6 weeks due to danger of rupturing the spleen.

I think DH said no timetable for his return on his coach show

We should be able to be ok with our guard depth

The broadcast has said several times that he has a stomach ailment. Would mono be considered a stomach ailment?

Despite of disagreements or different views, I think we can all say we all wish Jarvis the very best and hopefully he will be fine, as soon as possible. Not important if he can come back and play, the important part is his overall well being.

Absolutely right, though on the subject of playing, Bill Koch said Garrett is expected to return this season.

Hoping Jarvis comes back wearing another mask and sparks this team to go on a hot streak

......according to a DH quote in paper,(can't find it) URI would issue some kind of statement of his condition.....when he comes back, I would expect some limited minutes to get him up to game speed strength......needed spark plug off bench......maybe...

No mention in today's pregame story in the Projo.

I know Rhody is 3-1 without him, but you can just notice somethings missing sometimes when he's not on the floor.

I think the "bright lights" got to Jeff in the road game at Richmond. He has played much better at home and his inexperience and youth have been seen on the road. We need a much better game from him tonight to have a chance. Can he play decent defense against Gibbs? It will be extremely tough for a freshman to make it tough for such an experienced guy like Gibbs. I would not be surprised to see Stan and CT get more time defending Gibbs who is averaging 35 minutes a game.

On a need to know basis, fans are not in the group that need to know. Player, parent, coaches, trainer, and medical staff. That's about it.

But later that same night Dan tells Steve and Don that he believes Jarvis will return Wednesday vs Fordham for limited minutes.

Oh, did't have a chance to listen to show yet. Either way, better sooner than later. I do think the return of Jarvis will be a boost for this team.

I thought he said he hoped Jarvis will be back for tomorrow. Then when Steve asked how he would juggle things between Jarvis and Jeff, he said Jarvis would start off with lighter minutes, so it would sort itself out.

Even if he only plays a couple of minutes, it'll be great seeing Jarvis back doing what he loves.

He will have that for the rest of his life, sad to say....with drugs it can be controlled but there will be occasional flareups.

I know a couple of people who have it......feel bad for him.

Very nasty disease.
My mother had it and suffered for many years.
Not anything to take lightly, as it can be very
debilitating and painful.
This explains a lot of why Jarvis was sub-par
while playing this season.
He's a tough kid, and he'll always give it his full effort.
