Baylor always has those really tall and long athletes in their teams. Every year!
C'mon VCU!
This is a high level game

Less a blow and moreso a missed opportunity for a Top 20 win. So far our win vs Cincy is the best conference victory and it's not even close.

VCU gives it up in the 2nd half......wonder just how good they will be this season.......

UConn's season is basically over....no NCAA for them....Larrier out for season...sounds familiar.....

Dayton's injuries are going to cost them OOC...they will have almost no margin for error in conference.......

cincinnati down 12 vs Samford....we really need them to not pull a Nebraska

Always a lot of turnover in the 20-25 rankings range.......if we can win these road games coming up, maybe we can rise high enough to where a loss wouldn't knock us out?

Down 5 at half. They should be OK.

Yeah good close to the half they were down 16 at one point with Samford on a 24-0 run.

24-0 run? Oh my. Hopefully they got that out of their system.

24 pt. run by the opponent at home? Yikes......

We are going to have to be REALLY ready to play against our 3 road opponents....PC won't be a problem I would think, but the other two?

I dunno. I hate to say it but PC is better than I thought they'd be...again. I think Holt is good enough to have kept them from falling off a cliff.

Yeah PC won't be easy.
We weren't easy for them when we were bad so I don't expect us to kill them easily.
Cinci won by 15. In not too worried about them. They are solid.
Houston edged Vermont. They could be undefeated by the time they play us. Just like they were last year. Only this year they have to get through LSU and Arkansas.

Old Dominion playing tough with Louisville.

ODU Louisville goin to ot!
49-49
Odu had a chance to win after stealing an inbounds play but the guy who stole it rushed his shot cause he didn't know how much time he had.

I feel like this happens ALL THE TIME in college hoops. It always drives me crazy, guys throw up shots not realizing there are like 2-3 seconds left. Easy for me to say sitting on my couch, but just always one of those things that gets me.

Old Dominion is a really tough team!
Barely lost to Louisville in OT.
They move the ball well on offense. Never got raddled. The defense was superb.
Made a bunch of horrible passes, forcing it into the interior and the like.
They shot 46 percent from the free throw line...as well
Either way ODU is better than I expected

Dayton trailed by as much as 13 multiple times in the second half, and by 6 with under a minute to go, came all the way back to take the lead with 15 seconds left, only to lose it by a basket. Tough one.

ODU is in a tight game late in second half with LSU.

ODU ended up losing to LSU but it was a fight all the way to the end. I watched the last seven minutes of this game, and I was pretty impressed with ODU. They really struggled to deal with LSU's size on both ends but stayed in the game by hitting some big shots. I think that's going to be a tough game for us.

GW had P5 members Virginia, Rutgers, and Penn State there last year in a single season. Being situated in a large city that is a also fertlie recruiting area helps with the schedule.

Virginia is going to decimate PC. Their defense is just as good as ever. They've held 3 teams under 40 points and held Iowa to 41 last night and beat them by 33. UVA is a big dawg.

Also, Matt Butler scored 15 against Kentucky!
If you go to Rhody and don't get playing time, just transfer to an OVC school and you'll suddenly be awesome.

First A-10 results are in as UMass edged Harvard in a closely contested game througout, 70-66. Donate Clark had 29 points for the Minuteman and put in some critical FT's in the closing seconds of game.

They lost by 11 to a top 10 team not bad by them. I expect our line vs them to be close to a pick em

UMass beating Harvard was expected

I am disappointed in GW losing to PSu

The A-10 record for Saturday was 4-2, particularly disappointing was the GW loss to Penn State. Also UMass was not impressive in its close win on its home court versus Harvard. UMass supporters may generally feel the same way, since the game drew a crowd of only 3300 fans.

Fordham lost to UT-Arlington for the second year in a row, this time at Rose Hill.

Davidson had a solid win over Charlotte with junior guard, Jordan Watkins, coming off the bench to score 22 points as he hit on six treys on eight attempts. So Davidson has more than Gibbs to contend with.

Also, George Mason edged James Madison.

Richmond easily beat Boston College, but then what good program hasn't beaten the Eagles??

In games involving our Mohegan Sun opponents, Cincinnati easily beat Lipscomb and Duke mauled Appalachian State.

William & Mary beat Liberty, 79-70.

Houston trounced Cornell, 83-53.

Marist beat Dartmouth, 75-69 keeping the Big Green winless and in a race with Cornell to see which team becomes the Ivy cellar dweller.

In Sunday A-10 action:

Dayton takes on New Mexico in the Wooden Legacy. 2 PM. On ESPNU.

Cleveland State at Duquesne. 2 PM. A Bluegrass Showcase game.

La Salle visits Drexel. 4 PM.

In games involving URI OOC opponents:

In a game just completed as part of the Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational, Holy Cross lost to Monmouth 80-77.

Ball State at Valparaiso. 2:30 PM. On ESPN3.

Valpo is shooting like crap and is behind Ball state ag the half. Dayton is slightly ahead with 7 mins to go in a slow paced game.

Valpo pulls it out so that's good. They'll be 6-1 (5-1 D1) when we play Tuesday night.

Dayton also won over New Mexico.

It's hard to make deductions from one game, but Valpo struggled for separation for a good part of the game and only broke it open in the last 7 minutes. Alec Peters had 23 points, but the most interesting stat was that Ball State had 23 turnovers, many of them came via 17 Valpo steals. Also, this game was won at the FT line as Valpo had 25 attempts and Ball State had only 11 and the scoring difference from the line was also 11 as Valpo shot 84%.

With our fouling we could be at a serious deficit at the FT line..........on the road it's more likely....

Decent wins by Dayton lately which is good
