Not bad RJ, except for that BE bump you gave Butler.....#20 a little high.....

It was tough to figure out where to place 18-25 ... But Butler is 6-0 with 3 Top 100 wins and 1 Top 25 win on a neutral court. I figured they'd probably catch a nice little bump. Similar to South Carolina except I think South Carolina has played a harder schedule which was why I had them a little higher. It's tough because I'm more trying to prognosticate where I think they will end up over where I would actually have them.

You probably gave your list more thought than 90% of the actual voters. ;)

Yeah, agree. RJ puts in the effort to learn about hoop outside Providence and the Big East and continues to contribute positively to this community.

Gotta be honest here, ATP. It's a little too close to the PC game to be saying anything complimentary about anyone or anything associated with the Friars.

I think Rhody moves up from last weeks spot. Belmont win was very close to as projected especially knowing we had a huge lead at one time. No losses for the week while many teams experienced losses and will drop out.

Rhody got a big increase in points this week, moving up from 217 to 354 positional points. Probably very few voters did not have them in their Top 25 this week.

For comparison, two weeks ago when we were last #21, that was with just 250 points.

Also, Butler breaks into the Top 25 in a big way at #18, South Carolina enters at #20 and Florida sneaks in to the #24 spot.

Yep, no problems with Butler and SC coming into the poll in front of us - they have better wins than we do. Happy to be (comfortably) #21! Now to take care of business in two very tough games this week.

Edited for correction

There are a few of these top 25 programs that lost to non-ranked teams and stayed in the top 25. If we lose just one game, we're out.

Best week yet for the 65 voters with the fewest not having Rhody in top 25
Week 1 - 26
Week 2 - 16
Week 3 - 13
Week 4 - down to only 6

Best friend to Rhody is Krista Pirtle of Lubbock Texas as she has us at #15

The 6 with us not in top 25:
Doug Doughty - Roanoke Times
Cecil Hurt - Tuscaloosa News
Geoff Grammer - Albuquerque Journal
Soren Petro - Sports Radio Leawood Kansas
Craig Meyer - Pittsburgh Post Gazette
Sheldon Mickles - Baton Rouge Advocate

My only surprise was the inconsistency in losing to certain teams ... Michigan St and Arizona both lost to quality teams, and both saw about 8 position drops in the polls. Florida and Iowa St both lost to a quality team, both went up in the polls. But Wisconsin gets DESTROYED by UNC, falls 1 spot. I miscalculated how they would view some of those losses, surprised to be so off on Arizona and Michigan St.

No issue with people who haven't put us in their poll, either haven't seen us or want us to earn it with additional Top 75 wins.
The bigger issue are the 2 people who dropped us after losing to Duke, makes zero sense.

It really depends on who else loses during the week. Oregon and West Virginia are the only teams in the top 25 who have lost to a non-ranked team but they most likely stayed in because Texas, Michigan St, Michigan and Florida St all lost to non ranked teams as well.

Like I said last week, it's still November. So many things are fluid throughout the year, the constant stress about moving up a spot or getting a vote here or there really doesn't mean anything.

On the flip side though, it's still November. Plenty of games left to get quality wins and resume builders. Even if we're not ranked, get quality wins, avoid bad losses, and we'll be fine.

It's not just one lose, it's HOW we lost.

Missed free throws at end of game, look absolutely clueless on the last play of the game.

Surprised that you have diarrhea of the keyboard and you don't think the glass is half full but rather full of rat poison? No, not a surprise. It must be nice for you that they finally lost so you could get back to your tired shtick
