Dan volunteered a lot of info on the Harvard scrimmage. Maybe he'll do the same for this one.

have to think with the # of media in proximity of SJU that something will get out.
Zags, Rothstein, etc It's a fairly compelling scrimmage matchup - Mullin vs Hurley.

I would be surprised if our guys don't handle them well. They're a young team.

No reason why Laprey shouldn't be streaming this from his phone on Periscope.

Word is we won the 1st half by 14, they won the 2nd half by 1... With that said tough to take much from overall score, could be working on certain line ups/sets.

Dan will be happy that they lost the second half. He even said he hopes they pretty much suck today. I don't care who won. All I want is 13 healthy players 6 days from now (and all season).

What's important about this is that they reset the score at half. So in a true game setting URI was up by over 20 but pulled the starters early and let the bench finish the game. Also big to know is that the starters started the half by letting SJU get up something like 9-0 it was our bench that really brought us back. Good to know we have plenty of options if a certain unit stats to slip up.

Ha! Just checked in on this thread and it doesn't look like the scrimmage was very secret! Oh what depth we have...

These reports and scores really get me pumped, but I/we need to remind ourselves, that both teams had agendas and things they wanted to work on, and this was not a real game. This is my way of tempering my expectations...

The scrimmages are real games. Time outs, referees, 20 minute halves. They are not like intra- squad or high school scrimmages.
They do play more of the bench than usual. Plus sometimes, as today, they kept separate scores by half.

Less than a week away...to steal a phrase...
"It's happening".
...

The Section 208ers will be more than ready...and looking for that Larry jersey on the opposite baseline!

As usual, Disano and the NY media with more depth of info than the lame-o pro-jo

I know they are games, but that are not real games, with all the same preparation and strategy is what i am saying. At least that is what I assume...

KMac was at the Providence scrimmage and Koch was covering Brown football.

Reading Redmen.com, the St John's forum. They see it as a victory to only lose by 13, even though we emptied our bench when we were up by 24. Boys and girls, we have arrived. This is going to be a very long 6 days!!

Bos8--no media types are allowed at these "closed scrimmages".

One other thing--anyone know where my old buddy Rod is?

Rod is spending all his energy on the election. Look at his Twitter, he tweets 10-20 times a day bashing Trump. After Tuesday, I think he'll realize that Rhody is playing on Friday. Too funny!

If we all get real lucky the election will be pushed back to about April'17.

Ha ha... If Rod is reading, he'd respond. If Trump wins, he may move to Iceland.

1 of many examples of his thoughts... Never talks about Rhody anymore.

In reading this posting site they are very complimentary of our team this year and believe they did well to stay as close as they did. As I read I was thinking Kmac should be reading the things St. John's posters are saying
