So Mack is down two scholarship players, has six scholarships available, only has one verbal and has swung and missed on 10 top 100 players. He better get going.

I like the fact we offered Jermaine last summer and Xavier offered this past May. That's a big difference in relationship building.

What's interesting is reading Xavier boards, they want him out of sheer desperation since they missed out on almost all their top tier list. Obviously that isn't the case at URI, he has been our number 1 target throughout.

They have another message board, but you have to pay to have access. I'm too cheap to pay, but there seems to be more action there.

Xavier loses out on Locke......but Florida became the heavy favorite, especially after his visit there.
Locke selected the Gators over Xavier, Providence, Ohio State and Michigan

Wow.
Loved it when we got our guy last year in the early period in Daron Russell
Now possibly could have all 5 targeted guys within the early period in Dana Tate, Amir Harris, Tyrese Martin, plus this?
Great to have 2018 recruiting over, watch the guys progress during their Senior Year in HS and continue working on 2019, 2020 prospects.
Fingers crossed

Interesting the upside potential that Harris possesses not having played organized ball until 9th grade and competitively until 10th grade

Jermaine Harris, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Rock Creek Christian Academy (MD) and the DC Premier AAU program, will announce on Friday at 2 p.m., per his high school coach, Chris Cole.
Harris is down to Rhode Island and Xavier. He visited both schools along with West Virginia.
“Jermaine is unique where he can play any style, he can guard every position, he can shoot and drive from the perimeter and is a born banger,” Cole said. “His upside is tremendous. Being that he only started playing organized ball in 9th grade and competitively in 10, he has lot of room

Unfortunately that isn't how it works.. Providence was the first out of Locke's final schools to offer him by a long shot and still lost out on him. I do like the fact that Harris has a great relationship with the URI staff and that certainly helps but unfortunately, it's not first come first serve.

That being said, I still think URI is the favorite to land Harris here. I give URI the 60/40 edge over Xavier.

Wore #12. Best shot blocker in a Rhody uniform since Kenny Green. Dunked. A lot.

Sounds like it could be good news, but seems more likely it would be Adams. Also wonder with accounts like that sometimes...are they reading here, posting on twitter about it, then that gets posted back here as some kind of confirmation feedback loop? Can't really say for sure, but there was speculation here yesterday that Adams was about to come on board.

that'd be great if it's Adams. home run #4 and should in theory help us with Harris in the sense that the visuals now are there's 4 top recruits, come lead this incredible group and make it a Fab 5.

Well shit. That isn’t good. At this point, I think one of the schools knows which way he is leaning. According to XU message boards, he typically unfollows recruits once he knows they won’t be committing to XU.

Look, even if it's X, we came down to the final 2.

Exactly, well said. I am very hopeful, but if he chooses otherwise, it is what it is. We won't be first school beat out by someone they desperately would love to sign. A player can only choose one school.....hopefully Rhody in this case.

Agree 100% with this. You miss 100% of the opportunities you don't take.
We know landing a 4-year, 4-star true big man is the highest mountain for us to climb as a program. Smaller pool of players, competing with the big boys who all have more to offer. Getting this far speaks volumes about this staff. That said, this is a mountain we want to get over so I am hoping this isn't Chris Silva 2.0. Guys like this can change the trajectory of our program.
