Marcus Zegarowski | Expressions Elite (MA)
LA Stats: 17.8 PPG (21-52 40%), 4.8 RPG, 4.3 APG
Game 1: 9 PTS, 4 REB, 5 AST
Game 2: 20 PTS, 6 REB, 2 AST
Game 3: 27 PTS, 1 REB, 6 AST
Game 4: 15 PTS, 8 REB, 4 AST
Marcus Zegarowski has been consistently solid for Expressions all season, and is a primary reason the New England squad was in Peach Jam contention from Day 1. In Los Angeles, however, a star was born as the floor general was all over the court doing it a bit of everything, including a clutch 20-point outing in a massive win over rival BABC and a sizzling 27-point outing in a win over MEBO Team Hood. Zegarowski led Expressions to a 4-0 showing in Los Angeles, and they should have plenty of momentum heading into the Peach Jam.
I think Marcus is the best player on EE right now. I know we're in good shape at PG for a while, but I'd love to see him here. I'm sure Dowtin and Marcus could both play the 2 with Fatts at the 1, and both Dowtin and Marcus can play the 1. Would give us a lot of versatility at the guard position.

Anybody know if we are still actively recruiting this kid? Seems to be the exact kind of player we would go for, ranked 8 in New England, we need guards and he plays for Expressions, so what gives?

I love this kid. I don't know if we're still recruiting him. Talented and a very smart player. His brother Max has played really well this summer too. I think Marcus got hurt recently. I don't know if it was serious or not though.

Just because he plays for EE doesn't mean he's a lock for us. Also I think UW ASU and Creighton will fight this one out

Agreed but are we still recruiting him or has he told us he isn't interested? We should be able to recruit with those three schools especially considering he is from New England. If he doesn't want to stay in New England than that makes sense however.

Some have told me he truly wants the "blue blood" type.

Makes sense then, however those schools recruiting him are not the blue blood types either so maybe he is still reviewing his options before narrowing down his list.

No doubt, but I pray everyone here knows how much of the day to day operations at Creighton and Washington are like Zona and Villanova. ASU has recently bumped their "game" up to just under Zona's level. This kid isn't going to be an early commit, his step brother is the 2014 NBA Rookie of the Year... he's bound to blow up and get the attention of the likes of Virginia, Louisville or a Indiana/Michigan type...

If anybody wants to watch a really good player, Marcus (Creighton commit) is playing at RIC tomorrow at 3:00 in the NEPSAC AA championship game for Tilton. In the semi-final game today, he scored 57 points. Tomorrow, they play St. Andrews for the championship. They are led by Cole Swider (Villanova) and Brycen Goodine (Syracuse). Swider had 27 points and 15 rebounds today against David Duke's Cushing team. I know most won't be interested because none of these kids committed here, but for basketball nuts like me, it will be a lot of fun. We do have 1 recruit playing. Max Lorca-Lloyd and NMH play at 5:00 against New Hampton, who upset Brewster today. To anyone interested in watching, it's also available here.. https://www.yurview.com/live/
