I believe the players are back on campus. But really this thread is just an excuse to post the following tweet and other things like it that don't fit conveniently into another thread.

Posted mainly because I appreciate the not so subtle shade thrown at SJU ("ALSO due to a flagrant foul...")

I know Akele is on campus. Saw him in the Athletes academic center yesterday afternoon. Thought I saw Thompson walking on campus as well but I could have been mistaken.

This is random. But it just dawned on me that, if not for a knee, E.C. Matthews could be in the Ben Bentil position right now.

If he were...maybe URI would have been an NCAA at-large selection...?

I like that workout! Looks like a great way to practice absorbing contact for the AND 1

Was that EC who went 2nd in the 2nd video? Just curious of his status right now and how hard he can, or cannot go...didnt see him in the first video.

On my phone so it's small, but I think that's Christion and that EC has the knee brace on in the first one, hits a shot and then walks to under the basket.

Pure genius, Joe. URI is the only team that does that drill.

Included are nice interviews with Biruta and Iverson, updates on Munford and Watson, and notes on 3 players possibly reaching 1000 points this season.

Since we rarely have to deal with the possibility of someone leaving early for the NBA, how is that handled as far as recruiting goes? Obviously for schools like Duke and Kentucky, when someone declares, they just go sign a 4 or 5 star recruit to replace them That being said, I have no idea how EC will look this year and if he'll still be considered a first round prospect. But the possibility does exist . Also, Robinson has the option to transfer as a 5th year guy. So, I guess what I'm asking is how the staff plans for this, especially for the early signing period when it could be anywhere between 2 and 4 spots to fill.

In Chad Ford's latest Top 100, he has EC ranked 95th.

I meant for this to go in the Recruiting section. Sorry. They won't let me delete it now.

So glad our program HAS a court resurfacing process now! That old court went downhill fast. Many millions of eyes will see our court this year in HD, in addition to the 90,000+ who will see it in person on game days.

What a beautiful court <3
It looks soooo so so much better than the previous court.
Looking at a picture or a video of that old court just makes me seriously question whoever designed that.
I liked the big ram in the middle, but the blue on the court was not a school color! Wasn't Keaney, wasn't Navy blue!
I don't thinks the seats are the right color either.

The Ryan Center has always resurfaced the court in August, even with the old court.

I know it's the August "dead period" (in more ways than one) but I don't think things have been this quiet, quiet, quiet around the basketball program in awhile....

Some clips from a lifting/conditioning session earlier in the summer in case you missed it- EC, Jarvis, Christion, Nicola
There's music if you want to adjust the volume, but doesn't everybody need a little DJ Khaled in their lives?

I read that the digital edition is normally out in October. Not sure about print, but I'd imagine it would be after the digital.
