Gentlemen,

I was just informed this AM that former URI FB great Brian Forster passed away yesterday. 2 X AA on both of URIs great teams.
Am sure some of you guys know him as he was a fixture at FB games/events and BB games.
Details to follow.
Please pass this sad news on to anyone who may have known him.

Very sad, RIP Brian.

Maybe I'm just cynical but asking for 25k to be donated for a funeral seems kind of odd to me...

Hi Josephski, the funeral costs are in line at about $10-11K.
Balance goes to a scholarship fund at Danvers High in his name.

RIP Frosty!!!! For those of you who never got to see him play he was "Gronk" way before today's Gronk. He used to be triple teamed and still catch the ball and run. Best games was against Brown after Hurricane Gloria!!!

I remember Brian Forster very well.
He was a big part of the most fun, and greatest
years in URI football history.
Forster was tough, and a prolific pass catcher.
URI's offense was a forerunner to today's
pass happy football.

Good grief, the FB dept. must be reeling.
They say you need recruits from winning programs and Don Bosco fits the bill.
Terrible news.

Nineteen is just starting out. Sad. As for Brian Forster, the Gronk comparisons are apt. Nowhere the same size but very tough. Great hands and route runner. Had NFL skills if not size and speed. Second best tight end ever from Danvers. Mark Bavaro being the first.
