This one seems to be particularly interesting, since he's a '16, and supposedly we don't have any schollies left.

2nd offer of the day comes in from Rhode Island for Antwan Walker. This is his 20th offer! #WarriorLife pic.twitter.com/DZIhSOizHg

Heard he will probably be reclassing and heading prep.

Don't know anything about this guy, but I need another Antoine/Antwan Walker in my life!

Great player. Lead Woodson to an undefeated season. Athletic and long. One local publication named him the DC player of the year over Jeff Dowtin and Anthony Cowan (Maryland) as well as his teammate Kiyon Boyd.

His experience playing all those years with the Celtics should certainly help his development.

So, based on the article ramster shared, if he is planning on staying in the class of 2016, is our interest potentially a precursor to someone transferring out?

Yeah, that's why I said this one was particularly interesting. Or possibly we only keep recruiting him if he reclasses.

It's kind of odd to see a player who already has 20 offers reclassifying, especially since one of the schools is Georgetown. Hard to argue he needs another year to prep to improve his stock. Is there a grades or eligibility issue in play here? He's the sort of talent that, if he wants to come, I could envision them giving one of the fringe players on the roster a stronger nudge out.

I think this article answers a lot of questions.

Late bloomer, young for his grade. I would imagine a few of the offers are contingent on him prepping a year. Great athlete

I could easily see Thompson transferring. I don't see Thompson starting until he's a senior and his playing time over the next two years could be very sporadic depending on how good Robinson and Dowtin are. I like Thompson as a player but he's in a tough spot due to the fact that right now there are probably 4 players ahead of him who all have two years left.

I don't necessarily see Robinson as ahead of Thompson.

It's hard to say now because we haven't seen Robinson play but I don't think Robinson would have transferred here if he wasn't going to get decent playing time.

Im firmly in the Robinson camp.

But Thompson shoots the ball like a pure shooter and I don't think Robinson is in his league. Thompson is also tall, rebounds, plays great defense. The fouling will obviously go down. Awesome competitor.

I don't think URI is letting go of Thompson any time soon. Hard worker.

To me Thompson has a classic A10 career arc of a good A10 guard, but with the variable of height.

You can say the same for Thompson. He didn't come here to sit on the bench.

You're right but Thompson didn't transfer from a very good basketball school to get more playing time so it's slightly different in my opinion.

SPG, I really like Thompson as well but with our depth at guard over the next couple years I'm just wondering how Hurley will manage everyone's minutes. I think our top 3 guys (Terrell, Garrett and EC) should all be close to 30 min a game so that's not a lot of minutes left for the 3 other guards. If not Thompson then either Robinson or Dowtin will see very few minutes.

The way Dan talks about Stan I think he will be one of the first guys off the bench. I know he transferred, but he did have a pretty good freshman year in a strong conference. It sounds like the staff has been working on his shooting a lot so hopefully he comes in improved in that area. Our depth at guard is not a bad thing to have. Stan, CT, and Dowtin will be fighting for minutes so it will only make our practices a lot more intense.

Well, hopefully Dan isn't making decisions based on defense. CT showed some really great stuff for a freshman. I think the kid can shoot the ball well and played really well for a freshman. His defense will come along, but we need offense. CT can provide that, can Stan?

Stan Robinson=TJish, Thompson=ECish... A great deal of you aren't that keen when evaluating talent...

Sorry but Stan's freshman numbers were similar to Jared's as a freshman in the Big 10 while playing considerably less time. He struggles shooting and that's about the only thing Christion does better than him. We have guys that can shoot the ball with EC, Jarvis and Jared. Getting Stan on the court with any two of those guys will open up driving lanes for him. I see him coming off the bench but being our version of Scoochie Smith.

Since it is a front court player, it might be Andre Berry considering leaving.

Cannot tell you how uncomfortable speculation about our guys potentially transferring makes me. Maybe somebody eventually will transfer, it certainly isn't unheard of. But speculating about any particular guy based on nothing is a bad look.

I would think that our offer is more likely to be contingent on him prepping then it is us offering him and planning to run someone off.

I did a double take looking at CT this year many times because peripherally his body looks like EC. Really the headband does it.

I think the rams just have quality depth. It will be tough but they are distributed across classes.

There are 3 freshman front court players scheduled to arrive, one back court player. Speculating about players transferring out is garbage. Leave it for others.

That's actually pretty funny. Since when has it been a concern of anyone on this board to maintain a proper 'good' look?

He will be re-classing and heading to Massanutten or Hargrave.

According to Adam Finkelstein, he committed to Georgetown.
Was he the last of the "big wings" we were involved with?

Oh, the irony. Another Ant Walker. Was just dismissed from Georgetown.

Does anyone know the backstory here?
I mean, we recruited him and that staff usually picked good players that were also good kids.
The word 'dismissed' is always a bit ominous.

He was kicked out for a couple altercations. Good kid, just needs to get away from home. I know the staff recruited him, we will see....

Scroll up and read Bos8’s posts on the kid. He can play. Kid had 20+ offers out of HS, and was the best player in the area. 4* on ESPN.

That is definitely Walker. Nice pickup by Cox and co.

Any idea when he’s eligible to play?

I guess he would enroll for 2nd semester. Could also be immediately eligible since he was dismissed but I would assume he'd sit out and have 3 full years of eligibility starting in 19-20.

Asked my buddy about him, since he's a Georgetown fan. Here's the thread on their board about his dismissal, since I'm sure it'll be posted here eventually: http://hoyatalk2.proboards.com/thread/3 ... -dismissed - Speculation toward the end of the thread is that he would be eligible for the 2019-20 year if he transferred.

Reading the Georgetown message board that SG posted, thanks for that SG, the posters were not happy with him leaving. Must had high hopes for him.
Good example how recruiting can and foes pay off in today’s world even if you come in 2nd or 3rd.
Very good news.
