Bonnies are trying to blow their game to St. Louis.

UMass up big over an even worse LaSalle.

VCU/Dayton is a coin flip with 13 minutes left.

Who wins the tiebreak if the Bonnies lose and Dayton beat VCU?

Then there's a two way tie for the top.

I could look it up, but.......

We play UMass. Updated.

VCU with a 4 pt. lead with 4 to go......

VCU had a chance to put the game away, but missed 2 FT's and Dayton made a layup to tie and send the game into overtime.

VCU blew a game to St. Joes earlier this year by missing FT's late.

I don't think they are even as good as we are from the line.

That will get you beat, as we all know, unfortunately.

Wow. 11-23. If they lose, there's the reason for sure.

VCU gived the game away twice and loses it in OT

this could really come back and hurt VCU next Sunday. They need to get the the finals to feel safe IMO

Amazing finish. Somebody had to win, and it wasn't VCU.

This puts VCU and St. Joe's in a precarious position on the bubble. Or maybe just VCU.

Now they know how we feel when you can't make FT's.

Twisted, does that mean if we win Thursday, we get the Bonnies on Friday, and probably VCU on Saturday if we somehow win Friday night?

Looks like 1. Dayton 2. St. Bonaventure 3. VCU 4. St. Joes ???

OK, thanks Twisted. We're fucked. One win and see you next year.

We can also see how teams win the close ones. Some times it's not always what YOU do to win them, it's what the other team does to LOSE them.

Except our opponents NEVER miss FT's with the game on the line...... :(

Dayton is good, but they seem to have the golden horseshoe up their ass sometimes.

As in lucky. VCU had several chances with FT's and last shots to win that game, and made nothing.

Why can't we get the breaks like that sometimes?

Not that they were going to miss the Dance or anything. Just that this screws us out of any chance to advance past Friday.

Just the final nail in the coffin for this cursed season.

Yep assuming we wack uMass the only way we beat VCU is with a barrage of 3's.

Worst physical matchup we face anyone else in the league we can beat with a strong game.

VCU I don't see it.

At least we would not be playing them at home!
In our 8 win year we went toe to toe with them at the Ryan.
VCU on a neutral court is a lot less amped up VCU as opposed to them playing at home.
Still we will just have to nail threes, make cox foul out and put energizer batteries in Jarvis.

Another thing, how crappy GW fans must feel since it looks like they're gonna wuss their way out of the tournament again?
When I saw them beat UVA at the beginning of the year I thought they were downright the best team in the league. Figured they'd dominate with two really skilled big guys and a bunch of good senior guards.

I know this isn't A10 related [actually it does affect how many A10 teams get in], but I'm rooting for Cincy against UConn this week. If the Leg Humpers lose, they could be out, and that helps teams like the Bonnies.

PC most likely is in no matter what happens this week, sorry to say.

When it comes to the bubble, the big names almost always get their name called over the mid majors, so I won't be surprised if the A10 only gets 3 in.

Bonnies, St. Joes, and VCU need to get to Saturday to feel safe imo.

Of course that means we're out, but just in case......

Don't look now [where's ramster] but Hofstra looks like they will Dance, led by the Big Guy That Got Away, Rokas Gustys.

8 points, 12 boards at halftime.

Put him and KI together, and no one else could get a rebound......

Let's not forget that there is a lot more "length" and better post players in the A 10. Rokas is pretty slow moving and shoots his free throws at a mind boggling 42.8%.

Gustys finishes with 18 points and 23 rebounds in the Championship game. Only a Soph.
He played center for Oak Hill Academy which is no easy feat in its own right to earn that prestigious starting spot.

And Hofstra blows it in OT.....

Gustys with 18 pts. 23 rebounds

Yes, I don't think Rokas would be a big scorer in the A10 but he would get 10 boards per game I would think.....

6'10" you can't teach..... his FT shooting is horrible for sure.

Iona takes down Monmouth, and Monmouth is expected to get a bid, so there goes another bubble team....

Looks like Valpo might go down too, they tied their game with GB on a last second layup, but might lose it in OT....if so, maybe another bid stealer.....

Valpo lost. Will they get a bid?

2 bids for the MAAC and Horizon?

Bonnies, UConn and others have to be a little nervous.....

Hofstra went 2-0 against A10 teams this year beating LaSalle at LaSalle and beating SBU at Olean. They also beat Florida State in Puerto Rico.
Hofstra would compete just fine in the A10.
Gustys would be just fine at center at URI. Sure he misses FTs but he gets the rebounds when he misses them 8-) 8-)
The guy is a rock.
Tons of potential for next year too. He improved a lot since freshman year and the OOC portion of this year's games.

I agree with you ramster. With the talent around him, he would be tough.

With those stats tonight, amazing he only shot 2 FT's [missed them both of course].

His team went 23-26 from the line though.

Our old friend Biggie Minnis will be playing for a tournament berth tomorrow night with Wright State. Had the unenviable task of guarding one of the more underrated players in the nation in Kay Felder down the stretch and got the job done.

Well, I would think Dan isn't looking at future big time jobs as of yet.

If he's eventually going to get one, the next 2 years here will determine whether he's on course or not.

As for leaving Wagner, again I'm sure there are no regrets. He's got to be very happy for Bashir.

The Wright State game is getting out of hand, but FDU-Wagner is really entertaining. Michael Carey has been great. He's an interesting story- was originally a Big 12 level recruit but didn't have the grades. He spent a year at the Canarias Basketball Academy, then went JUCO before making his way to the NEC.

We've all been waiting. If your going to deliver let it be during playoffs so clutch delivery and timing

Seriously good call. I think Crews lost a big opportunity when he did not land Local star Tatum. I think past SLU coaches would have signed Tatum. Crews was in the house when Tatum announced and was hoping but no dice.

Haha I guess I did or it seems its playoff delivery. Thats funny.

Its just every time I have spoke to my buddy in St Louis about the team, I tell him they need to fire Crews and all year he has told me that it is coming. He told me multiple times it is the team that tells him that.

Maybe 2-3 times? I came running here hoping I could report it.
