Davidson is very good at home having gone 13-1 thus far. Their only home loss was to VCU. Their best home wins were over Richmond and St. Joe's. They have averaged 4,253 at home YTD in the 5,300 seat Belk Arena which is not bad considering their total student enrollment is only about 1,700.

Almost impossible to win here. I would be shocked if URI doesn't
lose by double digits. a win would be unimaginable. C'mon and

Have to get on their 3 pt. shooters and not get anybody in foul trouble.

I think we can do the former, but seeing we're on the road, the latter isn't likely.

URI actually won there by ten points just a few years ago (Nov-2009) in an OOC game toward the end of Baron's tenure. We swept a home and home OOC series with Davidson over a two year period (2009 & 2010).

13-1 speaks volumes here. They just beat Joes, which I thought was a mild surprise.

If this was a home game, I think we could win it, they aren't very good away from home.

I think our offense should be heavily centered on driving to the hoop, like we did against VCU. Davidson's D is a lot worse than theirs... I would avoid playing to Davidson's strength - running up and down the court and shooting 3s...

It worked against them last year. Slowing them down I mean.

We have to play that way now anyway, to keep our key players out of foul trouble if possible.

The problem is, is where the game will be played.

Hass said that on the postgame show with steve and don after Duquesne. I was a little taken back, because I hadn't heard about the tendinitis issue. Apparently I wasn't the only one - steve and don both sounded like it was news to them.

I noticed them looking at his knee on the bench at one point, but I thought he had gotten a little cut or something. It's just getting absurd at this point, can't catch any breaks on these injuries.

Game is on my birthday! First time they've played on my bday.
Probably means we will lose on a jack Gibbs step back jumper again....

Our defense smothered them last year and if we could have made some layups we would've won handily.
Although our defense isn't as good this year as last year, but I don't think they're as difficult to guard as they were last year without Kalinski.
If we don't have Hass it'll be too tough

On Monday's A-10 conference call, Dan Hurley said Christion Thompson is on the concussion protocol and Hassan Martin is listed as day-to-day for Tuesday's game with knee tendinitis. Thompson had concussion symptoms in Saturday's game and didn't play in the second half. Hurley said Martin's tendinitis stems from his ankle injury in December, which caused him to favor his other leg: "Because of the high ankle sprain, he favored the other leg, which created the tendinitis situation. He's been a little bit of a shell of himself athletically this year. He's such a warrior that he's tried to tough through it. It's just getting tough for him."

Tendonitis is no joke, I feel for Hassan. Explains why he hasn't been playing the same.

We're banged up and playing a strong team at home, I don't feel good about this one.

The tendinitis is not a surprise. Clearly not as explosive this year. Had one rebound last game.
Rhody needs Four to hit his 3s tonight to balance Davidson's outside game.

The Dayton game was good. So was George Mason. Those two games for Four were sandwiched between a couple 0 point nights.

Might have to choose between sitting Hassan out either tonight or against Dayton?

He needs some time off to rest the knee. If he plays tonight he would have 8 days to rest it before the UMass game. Davidson's inside game isn't strong, with Hassan that gives us at least a chance to win...

Of course, whichever game he misses, [if he does] we have what, 6 scholarship players?

Being on the road, this will most likely curtail their defensive aggressiveness.

Could run out of players, or end up with walk ons finishing the game......

and playing a zone to help with fouls would be a disaster playing this team.....

I think we can win this game on the inside. Berry should play in this game but we need Martin, Iverson and Watson to play strong. I like our chances in this game.

Of course Gibbs could go off and there might not be a thing we can do about it..

If we get this one I sit Martin in
Dayton.

Is there a stat kept anywhere in college basketball not for blockers shots, but for having your own shot blocked? If not there should be.

Team looks completely disinterested in playing this game, no hustle, no execution on offense, no resistance on defense.
Dan should save this game film to learn how to run an offense, Davidson getting whatever they want. We might not score 40 points tonight, wonder if there is anyone who still thinks we'll make a run in Brooklyn?

I watched Davidson throw 7 passes without a single dribble.
Good effort by Berry on defense and on rebounding. Would like to see him get more minutes in the second half. Good hustle up and down the court too.

Don't think Martin should see the floor unless we are down 2 possessions inside 5 minutes. Andre did some nice work on the boards - his size cleared a lot of space.

Maybe we can come out strong 2nd half after a Hurley chat.
