GMU lost to Dayton on their own home court Saturday 98-64
Marquise Moore (leading scorer and 2nd in rebounding) was out against Dayton and his injury will keep him out against URI as well.

GMU stated 3 Freshmen against Dayton: DeAndre Abram, Jaire Grayer and Otis Livingston Jr.
Shevon Thompson and Marko Gujanicic are both Senior starters.

Definite win against GMU. If Iverson is able to play against Dayton I give URI
a 50-50 shot to win that game as well. Without Iverson they would still have
a 35--65 chance to beat Dayton. For some reason Dayton has had a problem
against The Rams even when they were far superior. whether it is a mental thing oor
or what URI does well against the Flyers including the current crop of Flyers.

I am interested in how the team comes out against GMU. They've had a bunch of chances to pick up some steam this year, and haven't done much with those previous chances. It really isn't about the standings or the RPI or anything now, but I still believe this team could make noise in Brooklyn if something clicks for them and they finish the season playing their best basketball. But that has to start somewhere, and the more of these chances they let escape, the less likely it will happen.

TP, agree with you there.

Start showing some consistency. Follow up a good game with another.

GM isn't very good, only Thompson should be an issue for us.

Hold out KI another game, we have enough to beat them at home.....and have KI come off the bench when needed, early most likely, with a big impact against the Flyers......still the 4 factor.....and CT factor.....

Moore out is big but IMHO GMU is still a step up from Massachusetts and LaSalle.

Just showing up won't get it done esp with KI out.

A should win but not a gimme....

Dayton just beat George Mason 98-64, a whopping 34 points on George Mason's home court no less in front of 5,000 plus GMU fans. Moore was out and he will be out again for tonight's game. He is a big loss for GMU offensively and defensively.

We are favored by 14, but if we lose or the game is close then that does not bode well for Friday night

I expect a strong showing tonight. No let down as Watson, Akele, McGlynn and Thompson are all fighting for playing time and possible starting positions. Garrett, Terrell and Martin need to continue to lead as the core 3.

Bring on the Flyers.

I'm sure they assumed they Dayton game would sell well on its own, so making this the Pink Out game makes sense in that regard. Or who knows, maybe there were some other logistical reasons behind it that have nothing to do with that at all.

We should not need a Pink Out T-Shirt Promotion to sell out (or at least come close to selling out) the Ryan Center for a Top 20 Ranked Dayton Team.
The Ryan should be Rockin Friday Night for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are ok. GMU is really hurting after the 34 point beating from Dayton on their home court. Playing without Marquise Moore against Dayton and now again against us.
I would start the same line up as last game that started the quick start second half: Terrell, Garrett, Martin, Akele and Thompson.
