It's impressive, isn't it? He hasn't missed in 10 straight games, played in 8 different arenas, all while playing over 34 minutes per night.

By the way, Anthony Davis has requested a trade. With Horford slipping just a bit this year, that makes the need / "hole" in the Celtics lineup that would have the trade make sense, even though Horford is obviously still a very nice player. The Celtics have enough assets to trump just about any other offer, plus I doubt the Pelicans want to trade him to the Lakers, but they'd have to wait six months because Irving is the Celtics' designated franchise player right now. And, all of this could be moot if Davis doesn't want to sign an extension with anyone, and opts for true free agency. (I doubt the Celtics or another team is going to trade him without a wink-wink agreement on an extension.)

AD would only consider a trade to Boston if Irving resigns.
That's a huge if and still only a consideration.
It'll be interesting to see if it makes it that far.
Would be surprised.
I could see AD make it through the trade deadline but would be surprised if he wasn't traded before/during the draft.

Not that I know him personally, but as talented as he is, he seems hard to root for...and now, not only is he not playing next year...he eats up 38 large of your allotment next year...

Yes they are having a chemistry problem also

Morris calling out the younger guys meaning Tatum Brown and Rozy

Kyrie been in and out of lineup

Going to need to get totally healthy and everyone buy in or we won't go anywhere

I don't watch much NBA besides the C's, but has anyone taken notice of Trae Young lately?
49 last night, 36, 36, 23, 30 the four before that and averaging 26 in his last 10 games.

Awesome college player, but I never expected him to be this good in The League.
Maybe he gets more run because he's on such a crappy team, but still...

208, I haven't. I try to check out different NBA teams to see some of these players. Seen Denver a few times, Dallas, Utah, of course Milwaukee, plus the usual TV teams but haven't seen Trae Young. The NBA game is really fluid and fun to watch now, although they are not clamping down on 'D' quite yet. Playoffs will be interesting. Celts are all screwed up this year.

208,
the 49 points last night came in a 4 overtime game, and he had 16 assists

But the Hawks have to be kicking themselves for having traded for Luka Doncic of the Mavericks for Young. Doncic has had a great year for Dallas. Still need to see how the trade plays out in the longer term of course, but few thought Doncic would be this good, this soon

What makes Young so good is he's a great distributor along with his shooting.....and you don't have to be a great defensive player to make it in today's NBA.….

I think the problem is that more often than not, this happens with any "star" not surrounded by other "stars."
LeBron is a problem.
Durant is a problem.
Westbrook is a problem.
Anthony is a problem.
Irving is a problem.
Harden is a problem.
Griffin is a problem.
Paul is a problem.
Cousins is a problem.
Leonard is a problem.
Even even-keel Anthony Davis has become a problem in New Orleans.
In the NBA, most of the major players are jackasses.
Surround them with enough good talent, they might be ok, for a while at least.
Things get bad, they all want out, all want to build the next "super team."
The basketball community is so small and intimate compared to all other major sports, and that has created the problem.
Look at the last great Celtics team and all the problems - Pierce, Garnett, Allen, Rondo -- all guys considered a problem at various parts of their career.
It's so hard to find that Tim Duncan type player.

Russell Westbrook with 20 points, 20 rebounds and 21 assists tonight!
Only one other player in NBA History has achieved 20-20-20 that being Wilt Chamberlain

On February 2nd, 1968, in a home game against Detroit, Wilt went for 22 points, 25 rebounds, and 21 assists in a 131-121 win.

Clippers upset Golden State to even series at 1-1 now headed to LA for the next game
Louis Williams came off the bench to score 36 points along with 11 assists to lead the Clippers
Durant had 9 turnovers, following 7 TOS in game 1

Clippers were down by an astounding 31 points and came back to win on the road in Oakland

Interesting piece on 60 minutes Sunday night on Golden State

I watched the last quarter. Just seemed like uninspiring basketball. I'm not a big fan of the NBA, not since the Chief, McHale and Larry days. But if our team just dribbled to the 3pt line like these guys do and chuck up bricks, this board would be going crazy.

If that is Milwaukee's offense then the Celtics will win this series easy.

However the Bucks missed a ton of wide open shots, and the Celtics made theirs.

This will likely go 6 or 7 games.

I guess Boston sports fans are spoiled. Pats always win, same for the Sox lately, and now the Bruins and Celtics have a shot at titles.

My guess is either the Bruins or Celtics will win a title, but not both.

Not the Sox's year though...and the Pats of course will be a playoff team as always, but no SB this time. I think Brady has won his last one.

Quite the finish to Toronto/Philly. What an ending. Leonard takes the shot, I'm thinking, "tough shot", bounces high once, I'm thinking "overtime"...bounces high again, I'm still thinking OT...then drops through. Amazing.

The Knicks should be thrilled to get RJ Barrett at #3, since Memphis announced that they will take Ja Morant with the #2.

Barrett is a future All Star, not sure about Morant.

Of course this is the Knicks we're talking about....like the football Giants, we'll see if they fuck this one up somehow.
