Irving was unconscious....made me wanna puke 🤮 every time he scored.

Text convo between me and a friend:
Me: Kyrie....is there a more talented doosh on the planet?
My friend: His doosh to talent ratio is still extremely high.

Dude is something else...

Is it just me being crusty...or did it not seem like Kyrie was trying as hard with the C's?

Interesting game yesterday....middle of Q1, the Celts D was unbelievable. I am a 'defense last' guy myself, but that was an impressive stretch. Then, they just decided to stop doing anything on either end.

Does Rob Williams still have a minutes restriction? They need him out there 30-35 mpg to keep up.

Williams got hurt at least twice in the game, so I think he's still working himself back. Smart was also banged up at various points. The Bucks aren't the Nets - they're going to be aggressive and challenge the Celtics, and not shy from mixing it up with them. I think the Celtics didn't get the benefit of the whistle yesterday and their shots weren't falling, but it was still an oddly competitive game, considering they were down 10+ for much of the second half. It wouldn't surprise me if the series went six or seven games, or if either team won.

Bucks are a big time problem we have to deal with

They have solid rim protectors forcing the Cs to shoot from outside and we shot bad

JB was miserable 4-13 and 7 costly turnovers

Need a win in Game 2

JB went from miserable to "reason they won" in 48 hours. Nice job. Sunday nite aside, he seems to have that "really reliable around the paint" jumper that Chris Paul carries around.

Really good win by the Cs we came out with that sense of urgency you see in G2 after being punched in the month G1

JB was great in the 1h loved seeing him break Grayson Allen ankles , Grant was fantastic all night long and JT finished them off late

Tough loss last night to Bucks. Now have to go to Milwaukee for game 6 down 3-2.
Missed FT by Giannis - all Celtics had to do was get the rebound off the missed FT but didn’t.

All they had to...rebound....missed FT...didn't.
Not sure why, but that sounds familiar.

Still like the C's to win it all 👍

Let HC deal with officials

Rebound the ball

Basic stuff really should have been a double digit win. What happens next should be fascinating

Good to have "asymptomatic Al" in the lineup, too. Tatum and Brown are the stars obviously, but I love watching that Rob Williams dude play...

As a filthy millennial, I'm annoyed this game is on ESPN for some reason, vs. ABC - Means I have to haul myself to a sports bar to check it out. Instead, they're running Celebrity Family Feud. I love me some Steve Harvey, yeah, but he's already on the airwaves a dozen times a day.

I love Marcus Smart, and I know his teammates didn't leave much option, but too many Marcus 3's in the last two minutes plus...made for a nerve-wracking ending. GO Cs!

I realized he went like 3-for-10, but he's gotten a little better in this regard - At least three times, as his man closed out to contest the 3, Smart instead attacked the basket hard. It led to buckets for others. Between this, and 44 nice minutes from Horford, there was some good stuff that'll show up in the advanced stats but not necessarily the traditional box score. This felt like a game the Celtics would have lost the previous years.

Really great win and on to the finals !!

I still can’t believe Jimmy had a 3 that would have given the Heat the lead with 18 secs left after the Cs totally out played them , would have been an absolutely devastating loss , thank god not

I thought the same thing NYGFan_Section208. I also love Smart as he is such a warrior. Glad he was able to play tonight as he was questionable going in. But that last few minutes of the game were brutal to watch. I went back to the play-by-play:

2:35 - Celtics with a comfortable 11 point lead (98-87) - I thought we had the game for sure
2:35 - Stuss dunks to make it (98-89)
2:21 - Smart misses 28" 3FG. Shot at 14 seconds. Horford gets rebound resetting 24 sec clock
2:08 - Smart misses 27' 3FG. Shot at 13 seconds.
1:23 - Olidipo layup (98-91)
1:06 - Smart misses 26' 3FG. Shot at 17 seconds.
1:00 - Lowry Layup (98-93)
:50 - Struss 3FG (98-96)

In 1 minute 45 seconds Celtics lost what seemed like an insurmountable lead of 11 points to just 2 points with 50 left.

Smart Shot has 3 FG attempts too early - good for Miami but almost backfired on the Celtics.

If Butler had made his 3FG attempt with 16 seconds left in the game it would have put Miami up by 1 and the building would have gone bonkers. Not sure the Celtics would have scored with momentum so heavily towards Miami.

Should not have come down to Butler having a chance to win the game with 16 seconds left. Not smart by Smart, and not good time management of last 2:35 by Celtics Coaching staff.

Get Tatum the ball. Let the shot clock run down and force Miami to foul. Miami didn't even get in a position where they had to foul - despite Boston being up 11 with 2:35 left.

Thankfully Butler missed the 3FG. What a horrendous loss this would have been for Boston after having it in the bag. Deep breath. Move on to Championship!!

The Celtics just wore the Warriors down - different level of toughness, plus, the refs were swallowing the whistles most of the night. If that persists, tough to see how the Warriors can win.
