Stupid tech on Hurley. No apparent reason for it. They had just called a walk and we were getting the ball back. Dan has got to calm down and get under control. He is not helping the team with his sideline demeanor. It is all on him to make an adjustment.

If people here want to complain about the officiating I will certainly give them that Hurley doesnt help his cause berating officials every game.

Too many turnovers. Jarrett has to take better care. Fu makes a three to cut lead to four at half.

A real killer to end the half. 7 pt lead with the ball. All we need to do is run the clock and try to get off a shot at the end. Instead, another turnover and Fordham hits a three as time expires. Possible 7-10 pt lead evaporates to 4. This team beats itself. Stupid turnovers and fouls have hurt.

Refs don't want to be constantly berated and shown up. Hurley loses credibility the way he whines and complains after every damn call.

There is no doubt in my mind that Hurley has a poor reputation among refs. I think when his whining went national and made Deadspin last March it really cemented his reputation. There's no way this nonsense doesn't make the rounds among refs.

When is Hurley going to get it thru his thick skull to be quiet. I don't come to these games to watch his antics. Team was in control and he goes off. He is close to getting tossed. Enough with the infancy and coach your team

We are shooting 50% from the field (11-22), 50% from three (6-12), and 100% from the line 911-11) and only lead Fordham at home by four at halftime. We should be up by much more.

2nd game in a row where Hassan Martin got into early foul trouble. He has to be smarter with his fouls. It is an uphill battle when he plays only about 20 minutes a games.

He says he's going to calm down during games, and then he tosses it out the window.

One of these days, he's going to directly cause us to lose a game with this stuff......

11-11 on FT's. It's a good thing, or we would be losing.

Fordham for some reason always gives us trouble.

What happened to holding teams under 40% shooting, like we used to?

Hassan is a foul machine, refs or not...he can't stay on the floor.

I don't want to overstate this, but that ref should die for calling that a foul on Hassan. Even a no-call there would have been ridiculous because Rhoomes lowered his shoulder into Hassan, then extended his arm to knock him to the ground. But to call it on Hassan? That guy can go to hell.

They should send film of that to the league office, and the ref should get an appointment to see an eye doctor asap.....

Just so nobody says I only complain about the officiating when we lose and use it as an excuse: this was the most poorly officiated game of the season.

JT had a career night with 25 points. 10-18 FG / 3-8 3FG / 2-3 FT / 4 rebounds / 3 assists / 0 TO / 1 PF. Great all around game by Jared.

Maybe we only get the shitty refs?

Might actually be some truth to that. This wasn't exactly a marquee game on the schedule.....

There were some really bad calls on both sides. Being the home team, you would think we'd get a little more respect.

But, Dan has to cool it. Seriously, or this shit will continue.....the refs can't stand him.

They are supposed to be impartial, but their patience is REALLY being tested by our coach.

Looked like a good student turnout at the north end. A lot of empty sideline seats (particularly in the visitor section behind Fordham bench as it looks like they brought nobody) and section 300 balcony seats. My guess attendance will end up a little over 4k.

JT showed us tonight what he can do.

Jarvis shot lights out in the 1st half.

Hassan played well 2nd half, but the fouls...are the refs taking their disdain for Dan out on Hassan?

What exactly was the point of Hurley's outburst tonight that got the T? What was it in response to? How did it in any way help matters?

Dan Hurley has to change his courtside demeanor. It is a problem. How can he preach discipline to his team if he himself cannot control his emotions?

Hey, they played well down the stretch, even with the fouls piling up against them.....

With 10 minutes left and up only 4, I had a really bad feeling about this game..we were letting them hang around....no bueno.....

Barely leading a team that hasn't won a road game all year, most of them blowouts, I thought yes, we really aren't that good.

Maybe, finally, they can start something good.......St. Joes will be a close game. It's time to turn it around.

Was this a start?

RF1, maybe the team has gotten together, and decided yes, we have a nutcase for a coach, but let's not let that bother us. Let him go crazy, and we'll keep our focus on the game?

Season to date home average now stands at 4,418. Have not seen a bump for A-10 games as URI has averaged just 4,150 for its first four league home contests. Granted, three of these were during break but still not a good sign. Casual fans are staying away in droves this season. Only the hardcore fans show up.

Win the next 4, and the Dayton game will draw a crowd.

The home opponents haven't exactly been top notch lately either.

However, WINNING the Dayton game will be necessary to keep the crowds coming.....

Dayton absolutely destroyed St. Louis tonight.

To beat them even here, will require our best all the way through......

There are only two home games after Dayton - Duquense and UMass. UMass usually draws ok and Duquesne not so good. Outcome of the Flyers game will have little effect on future attendance being so late.

True RF1.

Bad year for attendance. The die is cast.

Makes you wonder if the crowds will come early next season, no matter the hype.

The only way that changes, is if some miracle happens this season.

PS. We won't beat St. Joes if Hassan plays only 18 minutes again......

There is no PC game at home next season which usually drives ticket packages. Right now the home OOC games are Brown, ODU, and two HOF games that will likely be against lower level teams. Need one high profile team for OOC home game to help raise attendance. Will thankfully have a better league schedule at the RC next season which should help. Team performance also likely to be much better which should be main driver.

Knew there would be crickets after a win! Understandably though. I liked a lot of what I saw. We can expect Jarvis to be good every night out. Best shooter on the team. Four is looking like the worst sharpshooter ever. He missed so many wide open threes tonight!
Jared Terrell was awesome :) love seeing him kick ass. Keep it up!
Hass dominant while in there. Hard for him to not foul he needs to look to pass when he bumbles into the lane like that, it was easy for the the defense to draw a charge.
Yeah Dan could at least cool it just a little bit obviously.
Kuran wasn't playing like he had the last couple games. We're gonna need more from him Saturday.
That was a good game though, good offense, attacking offense.
Just gotta keep it up and get a big win over top 50 RPI St Joes.

PRT, you do know that quite a few that post here were at the game, no?

Some of them will post later after they get home.

I couldn't go, but I want to hear from some of those who did. You always get a little different perspective from actually being there.

RF1, I think there are 4 OOC games yet to be announced.

I would like to see at least 2 of them at home, against top 100 opponents. Only one more isn't enough to drive the interest that much. So far, that's not a very impressive list of home OOC games.

Fortunately, there's the HOF tourney at Mohegan.

Jarvis Garret is best player on the team.. Terrific floor game after turning the ball over twice early.. Shot the ball well and made some great passes.. 6 assists easily could have been 8 with 2 missed alley oops..Good shooting game for Terrell.. Defense still not up to snuff but may never be this year because 4 is a major liability.. He causes some of Martin's foul problems.. Good game from Earl on both ends of court..
