I'm still confused about who exactly was getting carried away with last night's win. I don't recall anybody acting like it was the start of something special or anything like that.

208, a win over Fordham isn't going to get anyone excited, no matter how well they played.

There won't be any hype, until we actually win something.

Win the next 4, then get the word out about Dayton.

What is so hard to figure out?

We are 0-8 against the top 100.

We are 12-0 against 100+.

If that isn't an eye opener, then I don't know what is.

Right now, looking at that stat, we are as predictable as the sun coming up in the east everyday.

Hitting the brakes on what? Can you point me towards an example of somebody that got carried away and needs have their brakes pumped? Looking for a specific example. You don't get credit for telling people calm down if nobody is overexcited.

Lunard said today, that he will put St.Joes in the prospective NCAA field with a win against us Saturday.

Let's see if we can keep them out then.......

TP, that's just in response to a few that think maybe we've started a turnaround. The "hope" meter gets turned up just a bit.

Here's something for perspective. Winning against ODU and Nebraska would increase our win total, but would have done nothing for an NCAAT resume.

I think I do, but will allow I could be wrong, that you might be much different in real life...On this board, you seem to be one bitter, grumpy individual...and if people don't agree with your bitter grumpy "we've all had it up to here and we're sick of this sh**" attitude...you summon all the negative damper-ness you can, to throw at people and then summon your buddies for agreement.

Tied for 5th place going into a home game against Joes. Giving up the huge lead at GW hurts.

That Joes game turned on just a couple of possessions there.

Have to wonder if they take care of business this weekend and we see less of the frustrating aspects of our team. That will be good.

Position themselves firmly at the top of the middle of the A10 standings. Heading to Amherst to knock off a hated rival.

Have to defend Bembry with their hands up so that he can't have clear vision to make shots/plays. He made those two huge passes for the 3ball and everyone was watching the ball skip with their hands by their sides.

I wonder if they shut down Miles again. That was good. He was being touted as a potential A10 POY.

Bressler took more than his fair share of gratuitous shots at me. For the most part I took them for what they were: jokes and not anything personal. If Bressler is reading, I hope he'd do the same thing. I'm sorry you don't like my style, but I am not a monk. They aren't being paid to do this, they don't work for anybody. They are doing it out of their love for Rhody hoops and are otherwise fans just like the rest of us.

the mods should be commended and I greatly appreciate the forum, but when TP writes something it means different things to different people, its not just some other forum member, it's the moderator of the forum. Like it or not it sets examples, it sets tone and its often enough a bad look that leads to an escalation for some members in some cases, and can be intimidating or otherwise off-putting to some other members. It's just not a good look for my liking, but then again it does give me an excuse to respond in kind.

Rod, you know I'm not intimidated by anyone here, I'm simply stating that a condescending approach from a moderator isn't a good look and it affects different people in different ways. You will absolutely never catch SG being condescending, he almost always sticks to the point and is always respectful. ATP the same, even when they are irritated by something or someone. Bressler, I'm not saying was intimidated from the board, I don't know the man, but I am saying TP got what he wanted he ran Bress off, its a bad look in my eyes to group him with R72 and insinuate they are both a little crazy, months after he already ran the guy off, its childish and frankly just lame. But hey I did already admit to over-reacting, especially with the whole acting like a dickhead thing, so apologies and moving on. TP you go on doing TP and I'll go on doing RR.

Nope, not what I said or meant. Just making the point that they are normal fans like you and me, and just happen to be moderators here as volunteers out of their love for Rhody hoops and desire to have a better place for us all to discuss a topic we love. Some of it is shtick. Some of it is I do get frustrated by certain things, and when I do I tend to run low on patience to speak diplomatically about those things. I'm comfortable enough in my own skin and with who I am to feel like I don't have a lot to apologize for here. I never tried to run Bressler off and he is certainly welcome back any time. He is not banned, he is not in timeout. He is not here of his own accord. At the same time, I didn't and I won't pretend like I was a huge fan of the substance or the style of his posts. I'd have been more inclined to keep that to myself if he hadn't come at me unprovoked in ways that I considered inappropriate and mean spirited. I'm not going to stand for that shit no matter what color my user name shows up as on the page.

TP wouldn't be the first person to have a "schtick" on this site. Just for example, almost everyone who meets Rod after first "meeting" him on this site says he's nothing like his online persona. The depth of URI Hoop knowledge is the same, but the delivery is completely different in person vs online.

I like the people that post all the time. Good or bad. When people post a lot its more interesting because they create a kind of character.

I don't like any of the PC posters.

I am conflicted over the random A10 pop up posters. They are nice. I like that our board is generally nice to them. I don't like the rest of the league, they think the league is all about them.
