Former Walk-on Wins Survivor

Not sure how many are aware, but last night's million dollar survivor winner was actually a former basketball walk on during the Jerry D error. Jeremy Collins, was a track star at rhody and was a walk on for a short period of time.

the track coach wouldn't allow him to play bball...i think he was the A10 record holder in the 100 meters. His open spot ended up going to Justin Henry. But a good guy and good publicity for the school... I don't watch much of survivor but did see in one episode that involved basketball they made a reference to him playing.

URI has done pretty good by these contest shows in the last year. Collins wins Survivor and Mat Franco won America's Got Talent.

I love Survivor and watched this entire season not knowing this. I'm floored. He deserved to win too.

Playing for Jerry Duh obviously made him think in survival mode.
