Plug your business or passion project!
I could have sworn we used to have a thread on here for this, but I can't find it, so I figured I would make a new one. Feel free to comment on other postings from users, or to add in your own business or website or whatever!
For a little more than half a year, two buddies and I have been doing a podcast on pre-2000s video games. Appropriately, it is called Your Parents Basement. This week's game is Super Star Wars, in honor of the new movie coming out later this week. You can subscribe on iTunes, and we have links for manual downloads and feeds here: http://ypbpodcast.com/ - Past episodes include Bases Loaded, the NHL and NBA Jam series, Smash TV, Metal Gear Solid, Super Mario Bros., Myst... If you like it, be sure to share the link and rate us 5-stars on the ole iTunes! Thanks!

Ah, yeah, that's the one I was thinking of! And I know we had a few others over the years who had made threads here and there.

Bases Loaded was the best! NBA Jam as well obviously, but I loved Bases Loaded back in the day.

Best old school sports video games were Bases Loaded, the hockey game where you could pick the little fast guy, the fat slow guy and the medium guy and play space invaders at intermission, Tecmo Bowl and Double Dribble

Ha, we also did a show on Tecmo Bowl; big fan. You're thinking of Ice Hockey, I believe, from Nintendo. Double Dribble was fun, but it hasn't aged super well to me.TruePoint wrote:Best old school sports video games were Bases Loaded, the hockey game where you could pick the little fast guy, the fat slow guy and the medium guy and play space invaders at intermission, Tecmo Bowl and Double Dribble

That's almost the point. It was terrible, but its terribleness was kind of cool.

Ah, I played it a little bit in the past, but never owned it. I liked those sort of run-n-gun games, whether in a vehicle or not. We did an episode on Contra, and Smash TV.TruePoint wrote:That's almost the point. It was terrible, but its terribleness was kind of cool.

Double Dribble was awesome as well. How about Baseball Stars? That game was way ahead of it's time.
