URI Men's Soccer wins 1st game in A-10 Tourney

The Rhody offense came alive and beat perennial national power St. Louis 4-2 in the A-10 Tourney at GMU in Fairfax, VA. Rhode Island scored the first four goals of the game to take a commanding lead. St. Louis scored their two goals in the last 12 minutes of the match. The 6th seed Rams are now 10-7-1 while the 3rd seed Billikens fell to 8-7-2. It was only URI's third win ever over SLU as they trail in the series 3-8-2.

They play Dayton tonight at 7:30 for the right to play the winner of the VCU/Fordham game in the championship.

Hope they announce a win over Dayton during the BB game tonight. Things like not mentioning other sports success have been overlook in the past. more Rhody fans are gathered tonight than will see it on gorhody, this site or the projo.

#8 seed VCU upsets Fordham in the first semifinal. This is potentially good news if we get by Dayton tonight, Fordham has seemed to have our number.
