They have a nice-looking team with some youngsters mixed in with some veterans. Another frosh has just joined the team in the last week as well, and he could get some minutes soon. Drexel was outmatched but they fought hard all night. Good start for Rhody. Next home game is Friday night, so I'll be in Syracuse instead, but looking forward to Labor Day.

Who is the freshman who just joined the team? Any idea why it was so late?

I thought the rams dominated the first half against Drexel except for a few Dragon counters. Sorry about the lack of a name, but the rams have a midfielder number 20, a freshman from Germany, who can definitely play. He looked unbelievable for a first year player. The second half we were doing some clearing without moving the ball. We will see how they do against Coach Elliot's former team this afternoon. Go Rhody!

Dominik Richter from Neumarkt, Germany is #20 and just a Freshman started the game.
Liam Daley is another Freshman who started and played the entire game.
Bryant home Friday night

Does the men's schedule look decent RPI-wise this year? Felt like they really got on a roll last season but was disappointed following the A10 knockout when a bid didn't come their way... am guessing PC is big game for RPI considerations..?
Also, if anyone knows I'd be interested in the same deets for the women's schedule, they were a nice surprise last year as well, even for someone who not that deep into the soccerball.

Rams lost at Albany, not Gareth's former team, Siena, but one in the same city...
by a score of 1-0. Bryant at home tonight.
Go Rhody.

Nice win at home against Alabama for URI womens team. 1st victory every against an SEC school for URI womens soccer.
Only one shot on goal for the entire game but we made it count at the 80th minute to go to 3-1-1

It appeared like it was standing room only for last night's men's game Got there at 6:45 and did it fill up fast. Great evening except for the final score. Pretty evenly matched teams.

The women's team is currently sixth in the mid-Atlantic poll. Sunday at 6 they host Northeastern, who's ranked 2nd in that same poll. St. Joe's is 8th, Fordham 9th and Duquesne 10th.
