Interesting how they are split up. Keith is playing in the Chicago Midwest bracket. Munford in the east. Delroy in the South in Atlanta.

Other Familiar names:
Eric Murphy playing for SLAM in Chicago.
Frank Kaminsky playing for Bad Boys in Chicago.

This tournament is awesome, it's good to see a lot of familiar names still playing competitively. Kaminsky's team looks pretty good. But so does the Grantland squad.

I'm highly intrigued by this. There is probably a way to properly handicap it using players' pro experience level and the college they attended, since it looks like almost everyone involved has at least some degree of that.

I would be surprised next year if more of these games aren't televised. It's higher-level collegiate and professional talent looking for a payday. What else is there to really watch on tv in late-July/early-August besides MLB/soccer?

I agree RJ, and the basketball was pretty good...was expecting more street ball but it was organized, with coaches, and teams running sets versus up and down one-on-one play.

I was surprised to. I just happened to catch the semifinals because it was on in a bar I was at Saturday afternoon, and while it wasn't the best display I have ever seen it was nice to get my hoops fix a little in early August.

Agree, especially since interest seemed to be pretty good. With more interest, the level of play will probably continue to increase, and the reward at the end ($1M, which will also probably increase next year) probably limits issues with the athletes wanting to receive compensation.
