Re: '16 LA PF - Cameron Lard (Offer)
Lots of southern schools after him. I wonder if Christion Thompson could be a connection? Nice to get a visit from him. He looks like a good one.

An impressive list of suitors and nice to read he will visit......he can only take 5 official visits and we are only allowed to bring in 15 recruits on official visits so that is a good sign.....

Who recruits that area? I would assume it would be ARD, but he wasn't here when Thompson was recruited. Who recruited Thompson?

http://www.scout.com/college/basketball ... ccba7867c1Mississippi State and Rhode Island were on hand to watch his Thursday evening game, and those two programs were the first he mentioned immediately afterward.
”Mississippi State and Rhode Island are two (schools) I talk to, and other schools call my AAU coach,” Lard said.

Re: '16 LA PF - Cameron Lard (Offer)
Well, that's encouraging, yet Coach Hurley needs the invitation to meet the parents, which he described previously as the key to his success as a recruiter. Going against Ben Howland will be tough...

This is one player I believe is coming on an official visit......do the parents come too, do they have to pay their own way?

Re: '16 LA PF - Cameron Lard (Offer)
Schools can pay to bring parents along for officials. I think it is important to get deeply involved with at least two kids (and hopefully more), not just because it gives us options but it can speed the process up on the player's end if there is a sense that his spot could go to someone else.

From 247's "Crystal Ball" (8/13)….URI isn't even listed as a school that offered.

Re: '16 LA PF - Cameron Lard
From the interview, it sounded as if he was planning an "unofficial" after playing in New York. Any info?

Re: '16 LA PF - Cameron Lard (Offer)
You know what could have been great?
If they got Lard and Butts was still here.
The starting forwards could have been Lard-Butts!
Well, there's always Berry.....

Well, if we had all three of 'em, we could have had a front line of Berry Lard Butts.
