Coach LaForces' turnaround of the long dead WBB program,
is even more remarkable than the men's turnaround.
She's been a great hire.

Has she recruited a post player ? Are they as important in the women's game as they are in the men's game? Have they announced the signing class ?

La-Force Adds Perez to 2015-16 Recruiting Class

Jun 16, 2015

KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island got a boost to its backcourt for the 2015-16 season, as Head Coach Daynia La-Force announced the addition of guard Laura Perez Tuesday.

The 5-8 Perez has a wealth of international experience, having been a starter for Mexico at both the FIBA U17 World Championship and the FIBA U18 Americas Championship, both in 2014. A natural leader, she has been a captain for her national team.

"We are thrilled to add Laura Perez to our 2015 recruiting class and URI family," La-Force said. "She is a skilled shooter and perimeter scorer with an extremely high basketball IQ. She has proven both consistently in international championship competition. Laura fits seamlessly with the 2015 recruiting class as well as with our returning core."

Nice! What a job Coach LaForce is doing.
Anyone who's met her knows what a great
ambassador she is for Rhody WBB.
