In RI on Cox, CBS Sports Network is showing Rhody-VCU at that time. Sucks that both Cox and FiOS in RI STILL do NOT have this channel in HD!

That's what they say. I bet they want an extortionary carriage fee for their HD stream and Cox hasn't negotiated it down to a level they like. Verizon must have just recently added this in HD.

It's not something that Cox can just do in a day. It would only be able to carry CBS Sports Network in HD after negotiating a carriage fee, etc etc.

if you have cox start calling you want it in hd, if they start giving the run around just say maybe i should call verizon so i can watch in hd. that will get their attention quickly

Just enlarge the picture on your TV. I do that with all non HD programs.
