No LaSalle thread yet, so I'll stick it here. Thompson will be back for that game.

I've seen some people here criticize Jarvis saying he's a liability because he's too small. Guess what? Fatts is smaller.
Well this statement is false...

I think Fatts is 5' 11"......anyway so what.......there have been a lot of outstanding college PG's under 6 feet tall.

Yes, that and Fatts is competing against top tier guards in Philly as well as the tournaments that Imahotep play in each year. If I was JG I'd be worried about losing my job next year around this time... unless he gets his head out of his ass... he should be putting up 10 & 7...

I didn't say he was too small. People were saying Jarvis is a liability because he's too small. Look at IT. Anyway, Fatts is listed at 5"10".

On the show they had ARD and he said Tertsea and Laysard both have nice potential

Have a good feeling about Tertsea, even though I have never seen him play. I've seen numerous kids nation wide that seem to have same physical attributes, tall, strong, long, that are big time contributors for their respective programs. Two things that really are in his favor is the fact that he hasn't played the game that long and is still learning and the fact that , as I have heard from few people and ARD repeated, he is a tireless worker. That is so key to becoming a really good player.

Hopeful on Laysaard too. Still have questions if we can transition to a big man oriented team if we need to. Since we have been a 3 and 4 guard team since Dan has been here.

If the weather holds off I'll be there tomorrow.....at the Mews earlier to get warmed up though.....going to ask Dan how is JG...and why do we suck at FT's late in games....should be fun.

Figured I'd throw that out there.

Please get to a show or two if you can. Other than those folks that have to be there the turnout lately has been pretty weak.

I can't make it this week as I'm traveling for work.

We need to start a winning streak, or else the turnout will remain low I would think.

People love a winner......and I know people should continue to support the program, but it's human nature.......

Good thing we won Sunday.

That's actually kinda funny...one of the reasons I haven't gone before is because I figured it would be crowded and I'm not really a fan of that...

The Mews shows have been crowded when they were held in the downstairs bar.......many other customers around besides Rhody fans....since they moved it upstairs there's no room for anybody but Rhody fans.....

If we ever get close to, or actually make the dance I would think the shows would be swamped......would be nice to see sometime.

Anyway, I've never been to the 210....hopefully first time tomorrow....if it's just rain I should be there after a stopover at the Mews.

......the staff from Athletics; Thorr and company do make up a large part of the live audience; the shows I have been to are local in South County, and that has pretty much been the low turnout of only a handful of fans.....the Mews probably more.....but these intimate settings do in fact provide opportunities for conversations, off mic with Thorr and Dan, as Rod has said they are very approachable.....I can remember going to the Mews Show after the win against a Nebraska thinking there would be a packed fan base, because of the win......not.....come on out and see your coach, maybe a player up close and personal......and worth the trip for you upstaters......

Sounds like Jarvis will be out awhile. Hurley said there is no timetable at the moment, they basically aren't even thinking about basketball at this point and are just trying to get him healthy again.

No, you could tell he was being pretty vague on purpose. Said they are working on getting his weight back up. If I remember correctly I think he said it started back in December and Jarvis didn't really speak up about it at first.

Went..and it was fun. I enjoy talking to the other fans that go. Will probably try to listen to the tape because, outside of the first few minutes, where they talked about Duquesne, didn't hear that much of it. I think you hear much less of the show when you go than you would listening on the radio. Was interesting...in contrast to the 210 show, Hurls and co left pretty quickly and directly right after, whereas at 210, he hung out and talked to/said hi to most everyone there. But, who knows, he had his family with him and perhaps they had other plans...glad he did the show, glad I got to talk to some of the fans...plus, I really like the Foolproof Federal Hill ;)

Great time chatting with the "Sensei of Sign" fam tonight!
Burn the tape from the UR game and move on...play with a little anger and aggression...
Put on a good show in front of a good crowd on Saturday!

Just as important:
Proclamation opens at 12 on Saturday, seems like a good starting place....hang there for a couple or, grab a growler or two and tailgate like the school had a football team or something...now THAT's a Saturday and a great way to get some board-ers together 8-)

RB,

I am very curious to hear what this conversation with DH consisted of for you to make this statement, knowing full well from the majority of your posts prior to and now after the Richmond game, what your standpoint is on DH and the state of the program. Please feel free to elaborate if you are so inclined.
